Used to Be a Gem — Now Just Ordinary and Disappointing
This ramen spot used to be one of my go-to favorites — flavorful, consistent, and worth the visit. Unfortunately, it’s lost the magic. The quality has noticeably declined, the broth is now thick and heavy, and the overall experience just doesn’t hit the same. Really disappointed to see such a great place turn so average. Hope they find their spark again.

Been a few times most recently a weekday for lunch. Did their lunch special of red miso ramen and the pork bun. Incredible. I’d made mine spicy. My friend on her first visit did the chicken ramen and appetizer. She said she’d definitely go back. It’s craveable and that’s a great thing! Be ready to wait if you go at peak meal times. At 2:45p we had the counter mostly to ourselves. Would absolutely recommend.

Best ramen in Chicago (and in Des Plaines). The tsukemen noodles’ texture is just right, the soup is rich and the pork is tender. Everything is just right. It’s 1 place I would drive an hour to when I crave it.

Typical airport inconvenience for me today at O’hare. After having to stay in IL until the next flight, the following morning, Frustrated, I googled the nearest ramen spot to me and I came across Chicago ramen and the employee recommended me the chicken ramen. Described the dish as a very Light savory broth you can never go wrong with. He was 100% correct. After a terrible day I realized it wasn’t too bad after all because despite the bullcrap I ran into today, I was able to have one of the most tastiest savory chicken ramen. 🩷🩷🩷 I’m Latina, so I got the spicy chicken ramen which is my recommendation if you’re looking for a bit of a kick! 🔥

Well, it must have been made by an American who loves ramen, and it's not bad, but it's not delicious either. The miso ramen really tastes like melted miso, which is something different. The noodles are extremely short. The gyoza is fried gyoza, and the fried chicken is like fried breast meat Tatsuta. It's not something you'd have to spend more than $10 to eat. From a Japanese perspective.

One of my fav Ramen spot in Chicago!🫶 Spicy chicken Miso Ramen and Gyoza are my absolute favorites ❤️ Prices are pretty affordable too. I once had Tofu bowl and it was yummmm. Texture & taste was really good. But didn’t like it the next time. Our go to spot❤️
Really disappointing. Anything fried was unavailable (so forget Gyoza). This location doesn't offer Jiro Ramen. As someone who doesn't care much for miso, hates curry, and wants something richer than chicken, this place ended up being a big letdown. If you're seeking a thick, rich pork broth, you won't find it here. Additionally, the pork was tough and dry, and the restroom was scary level dirty.
