Last minute stopped here for 2 dozen tamales as my order with another restaurant for my grandson's birthday party never arrived. Tried the pork red, green and cheese and pepper and one was better than the next. So flavorful and the outside was moist and yummy!! Perfect tamales and from what I understand they take advance orders for chicken tamales. They were a hit at the party!!

Great food! GrubHub take out order was a total disaster and the lady at the restaurant helped me getting my order as soon as possible. The tacos a mano al pastor and campechano are great, as well as the salsas. I will definitely stop by there anytime I go around that area.

Awesome little hole in the wall restaurant. I love these places that tend to go unnoticed. I was looking for a quick authentic taco, and I stopped by thinking I'd be adventurous. Delicious food! The lady at the counter did not speak much English, but we got along just fine with my HS level Spanish. Carne asada tacos were made on the spot. Simple, delicious, a little on the pricey side, but homemade tortillas! No crumbly store-bought junk! Totally worth it.

Very delicious homemade good. Probably the best place in the area.

Stopped in after seeing all the 5 star reviews. The asada (steak) tacos really are that good. It's the fresh homemade corn tortillas that make them a stand-out. I walked in around noon on a Thursday, placed my carry-out order, and only waited about 5 minutes. I'll be back to try other menu items. Edited to add: $$$ seems wrong. They were on the pricey side for street-style tacos (tacos a mano: 3.99) - but they are pretty big. So possibly $$.

This place is a hidden gem. The food took me back to my childhood days. Great guisados to choose from.

Should be called Cocina Lenta. I am sure it's not always like this but it took around 18 minutes for a quesadilla and burrito. It was. It busy I was their 3rd customer that morning. Food tasted fine and after reading the reviews I will be willing to go back and try the tacos or marinated steak.

Missing the taste of home-cooked Mexican meals? Look no further. Cocina Express has really really good carnitas (sold by the pound). Get it to go with some rice and you're good 😊👍

Wow. Some of the best tacos I've ever eaten. Very authentic, fairly priced, good service. I will definitely be returning for the steak and chorizo tacos. So so good!

From the outside you wouldn't expect much but had a employee that referred them to me excellent food authentic and has good flavor says three dollar signs but I don't think so it was very reasonably priced

The food here is really good and reasonably priced. The tortillas are homemade, so I would recommend anything that uses them. My favorite is the hongos (mushroom) quesadillas. There food is very authentic, and they have items you can't get other places flor de calabaza (pumpkin flowers). My husband is from Mexico, and this is his favorite place in the area. I'm not sure why it is rated $$$. It is $ to $$.
