For me this is the place for a business lunch. Quiet enough to talk. Very good service and you are not rushed. Always plenty of parking.

The porterhouse is a little more difficult steak to cook due to the different cuts of meat... I've never made one better! The crust, the temp, the seasoning... it was perfect! And the staff and atmosphere were amazing :)

First-time visit and loved it! We had dinner at Hugo's Frog Bar & Chop House in Des Plaines before a concert at The Center. Our server, Rose, was absolutely delightful—attentive and warm throughout the evening. The food, service, and ambiance made for a wonderful experience. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

Great service and most importantly GREAT food!!! Always so fresh and quality. I enjoy eating here each time. Their calamari, crab cake, steak sandwich, scallops, and sea bass are my top favorite! Highly recommend this place

Food and service was top notch. The dining room was a little too loud and crowded for my preference but I could still hear my friends talking.

We accidentally showed up for our reservation about a half hour early and were seated right away. Our waiter, Scott, was great! He was super attentive, answered all our questions and he was very nice. We had fried calamari for an app, I had the Lake Superior Whitefish, my husband had the 14oz filet with horseradish and we shared a baked potato. Overall, Hugos is a great restaurant for any occasion! Highly recommend stopping by for some good food and drinks!

We went to celebrate two birthdays. The staff was very attentive and brought us very large pieces of their fabulous carrot cake for each of our birthdays.

I must say, I have traveled all over the world for cuisine. So I see many different types of establishments. Hugo’s Frog Bar is elite. The flow of service: impeccable. The waiter staff ever so knowledgeable and with amazing recommendations on what to pair. This was the smoothest staff I have seen in ages. 5 + Gold Stars. Would I go back? Heck ya! It was great experience. The server was very kind and checked on us a few times. She cut our desert so everyone could take a piece. I would return there again. It’s on mid-high end for $$$.

I celebrated my birthday dinner at Hugo's Frog Bar & Chop House in Des Plaines, and it was absolutely iconic! The food was outstanding, but what made the evening truly special was the service. A big thank you to our server Salvador, who was attentive, warm, and made sure every detail was perfect. Also, a huge shout-out to Manager Jason for going above and beyond to make the celebration memorable. Their hospitality turned a great dinner into an unforgettable experience. I'll definitely be back!

We loved our waiter- He knows his steaks, very accomodating, helped us picked the right food to eat with our liking and the manager was engaged with the customers. Very welcoming. It's always a hit for us Thank You!!!

We had a great time from the management to the waiters they made our night special for our grandson food was delicious everything was perfect they got him a creme breule and the carrot cake was also delicious steaks we’re cooked just as you ordered

So bad. Went with a group of 4 to celebrate September birthdays. 3 of our 4 meals were bad. Two of us had Alaskan Halibut. It was over cooked and dry. One of our group had Ribeye and said it was chewy and grizzly. One person had the sea bass and liked it. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Have always had great meals here and something has changed! Best part was the carrot cake!
