My husband and I have been coming here for years. The owners, Chris and Nikki and the bartender, Monica are always welcoming and take good care of us. Nice atmosphere, good company, lots of tvs if you want to watch the game, great music playing in the background. The food is always very good and freshly made. Some of our favorites are the chicken kabobs, the Jerry's Special, and the burgers, which are excellent! Half price martinis on Wednesdays with a long list of options to choose from. We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday there and they were very accommodating and everyone had a great time!

Love this place! A hidden gem with a very nice ambiance. The food is delicious! I had the Chicken Kabob Plate and Spicy Feta Dip, and it was amazing! Our server, Nikki, is the best and was attentive and welcoming. Also, Chris came out to our table to check on us with a smile to make sure we were happy. I couldn't ask for better service. I will definitely come back.

I was very surprised how good the food was and how nice the staff was. I got the blackened fish and everything was delicious. Also try the cheese curds if you go.

We just hosted a 40th birthday party and could not be more happier with the service, food and drinks! Great place to come grab a drink or host a small event. The staff were so kind and helped set up the decorations. The food was amazing! All of our guests had a great time! Thank you, we will visit again soon!

I wish I could express how amazing my experience was at this establishment. This is absolutely a hidden gem in our small town of des plaines, Im only mad I hadn’t discovered it sooner. The staff is such a great team. They are all so lovely and welcoming, I wish every place provided service like theirs. You can expect a Great experience no matter who is on that night. I must also mention, The chefs in back are also top tier, any time I have order my meal is delicious and packed with care. In the beginning I was coming back just for the food but now I continue to come back week after week but of the team and the environment they have continually provided. Illusion cafe is the bar and grills of all the bar and grills ever produced.

Food is very well seasoned cooked to perfection. They accommodated a food allergy I have without an issue . Staff is nice owners are super friendly and love to hear how you feel while dining. As soon as we walked in Nikki the server was not welcoming and it seemed like she didn’t want to serve us. She had some sort of attitude towards us for some reason from the start and didn’t come by our table at all. Her husband, the owner came to take our drink order and the way she dropped off our drinks with an attitude and snappy remarks made it seemed like we were begging for her service instead of feeling welcoming for bringing business to her restaurant. Nikki approached us differently than the other customers. Maybe it’s because the others were mostly Europeean and me and my friend are Mexican and Asian and she didn’t care to serve us with same manner as she was short and snappy towards us. We would never come back here and receive this service again, it was really disappointing since we were excited to try this new place. Nikki, if you are reading this learn to give better hospitality, its really embarrassing the way you acted towards us we hope you realize that. You want customers to feel welcomed in your restaurant.
