I go here all the time because it's close to my home but I would even if I moved because I am yet to be disappointed. This is the first place that, as a southerner, I believe these folks do country fried steak and even fried green tomatoes well! Super friendly and accommodating staff and you can't miss on the menu. Highly recommend for a nice low-key breakfast joint without the frills of the typical brunch place.

I will never forget the horror I felt when I saw a cockroach in my food? Truly terrifying.
If you look at my account you can see I usually leave bad reviews (that are justified), BUT I always have to give credit where credit is due. If you aren't in Highland Park or Antioch. Than this breakfast place Katie's Kitchen in Des Plains on Wolf is 100% the breakfast place for you. They never disappoint.

My Mom and Dad love it here. All of the staff know them and have their regular orders memorized. Everything there is great, I’ve never had anything I didn’t like. The food is always fast and delicious.

5 stars for the service. Our server was so nice and so sweet to our kids. She knew exactly what they were talking about, and she waited so patiently. The restaurant was so clean and beautiful, and the tables were so comfy. The food was to die for, and they had every topping imaginable. 10/10 would recommend.
