Great little neighborhood bar to grab a quick drink or meet friends. Right in the heart of Des Plaines, close to the theater and across from the Metra station. Staff is always friendly and not pretentious like other places.
Service was 4/5 for me. Carmen was the bartender, she was friendly and kind (very pretty too). In my opposition I would not label this place as a sports bar/tavern so if you’re looking for a more lowkey/chill place this is not it. BUT if you’re looking for a place to hang with your people or a nicer bar this is the place.
Stopped in last night before a concert at the DP Theatre, the tavern had a nice cozy atmosphere with a decent beer selection, and the back bar had a lot of that old school corner bar character. The bartender whose name I didn’t catch was very nice and attentive. She had a Sinatra playlist going from Spotify that was great for the vibe. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in The area.
