North Chicagoland suburb staple classic burgers joint! Rund by two brothers always there and they are the only ones that grill the burgers witch is awesome. I always get a char cheese burger single patty double is huge and very messy to eat. Burgers are cooked to order fresh! The grill flavor plus seasoning really come thur and they are always super juicy l've never had a dry burger here. 100% recommend!

Okay so true story..I was headed south down River Road on my way to Steak n Shake because I had a craving for a Smashburger as I'm passing Paradise PupI get the wonderful wafting smell of charred meat from the smoke out of thier smoke stacks...that changed everything I immediately hung a u-turn and went back and had a 1/3 lb American Charburger and and the onion rings by the are amazing probably the best I've had from anywhere in years they're always either overcookedor have artificial filing these are the real deal beer battered onion rings fried
to perfection

Way better than it has any right to be, definitely worth the trip. Bring an appetite. Definitely go for cheese on your burger, there's something special about the cheddar they put on it. The burger and fries were 😘, the PB& Banana shake even better. There's only one other place in the US, I'd take over this, Page's Creamery in Pittsburgh, and they aren't open most of the year. Only place in the Chicago area I found comparable is Johnnie's beef

I ordered the 1/3 char burger, and it was decent, can’t say it was outstanding or a stand out but I enjoyed it. It was a longer wait, understandably because of its popularity, although I did not enjoy the noise, coming from the perspective of someone dining “in” (outside at the picnic tables).

What is unfortunate was my service, ordering was easy and straightforward, although I had a bad experience when I used the bathroom. My boyfriend was told by staff, that we could use the restroom, so I did as well with no problem, I even saw a separate couple use the restroom. After eating, I went to wash my hands with him, and we were met by one of the staff members that wore glasses. He quite rudely demanded why we were back there, and told us that we aren’t welcome, that it was a private area. Apparently he was giving only a one time exception to use the restroom, and that we were impeding on their space. I am generally an understanding person although his tone, general approach, and poor upfront communication left me really disappointed. I would never impress myself on a private space, there were no signs to my awareness that indicated it was private, and had this been communicated I would never have stepped in. I treat these spaces with respect, and I would have hoped for better communication, I recommend that they implement more obvious signage and do not allow exceptions to use the restroom.

Considering my experience, I will not be revisiting.

There was a man with glasses at the counter. I asked him where the sink was, and he told me. After we finished our meal, my spouse and I went there to wash our hands, and he yelled, “What are you doing here? Why did you come in here? This is a private area!” I told him, “The restroom is over there,” and he said, “This is a private area, you can’t come in here. I only allowed you once.” He was the rudest restaurant employee I’ve ever seen in my life.

Best Charburgers in the northern suburbs and the best vanilla malt I've had in years!
The onion rings ate also excellent
The only problems I saw was no bathrooms and the parking lot was too small for such a busy place.
The people there were fast and friendly.
EDIT: Well I was wrong about the bathroom! So the only drawback is the parking lot size. Everything else about this place is just so good!
Seriously, if you are anywhere near the area, stop by and see for yourself!

My family seemed love this place so I gave it a try. According to my Mother, it's the best burger she ever tasted.
