I was not asked if I had a potbelly account to add my points for my purchase. Not happy with potbelly. If potbelly had a place where you could add the receipt and get your points added, but I guess that is too much for management to do! So sorry for you POTBELLY.

Went to Potbelly's on Market St in Des Plains, IL Was told they no longer had the beefsteak that had horseradish it's been discontinued. So I order half & half soup and a skinny sandwich. I told the young lady I would pay then go to the restroom please put it on a tray. I paid the young lady went to the restroom which was deplorable, I washed my hands and came out. Upon picking up my food I made the comment to this young lady ( the bathrooms are disgusting, very nasty ) she looked like big deal. Then I asked the question thought I asked for a tray it's for here? The young man said sorry ma'am I'll get a tray. This wild eyed girl said we don't have trays! I replied the young man just said he'll get me a tray. This young lady firmly said again we don't have any trays, he don't know he just started here have a good ma'am storming off. By now I can hear and feel her animosity so I asked what's her name? The young man say's I don't know I just started? I requested her name again only this time she yells Melody write it down! I said beg your pardon? She repeats it Melody write it down! I then told her I don't have to write it down I want your manager; she storms off to the back the manager Andrew can out asking what's happening or happened past tense, while the other young man is trying not to get her in trouble, starts saying I'm sorry ma'am I just started working here I was unaware we did not have trays. I told him your fine young man, great accommodation & customer service skills it's her! She's judging people of color on their attire, speaking to me as if I were a vagrants, when I paid I had a fist full of $20.00's so where is this coming from? Then the rational hit me the young lady is a racist who has no respect for people of color or age due her white privilege mentality! If you work in a place that sells food the restrooms, and floors should be clean as well. The manager Andrew asked if I wanted a cookie or drink I replied I don't want anything but the GM's name and the store number because she has no business working in a place like this with that condescending, disgusting attitude while dealing with the public! The tables were clean, but the bathroom was filthy and so are the dinning room floors which have not been properly mopped in some time! I've noticed that Des Plains has a lot of bigots living here which is a sad sad situation because if we were good enough to spend our money we are good enough to receive dignity and respect as well. This young lady made me lose my appetite, could not finish my food being that frustrated; she's far too young to have that mentality I'm in my mid 60's she really don't understand what it took to keep from slapping the taste out of her mouth but we all know how that would have ended. Black woman slaps innocent white girl when the reality was I just wanted something to in a town full of bigotry and hate that goes back generations, that's systemically engraved in this girls brain and heart of this opinionated child!
Echoing the last few posts, which I should have read before choosing this location. Two workers (a male and a female, both young) and no other customers in store at the time. The female staff helped prepare my order, and the male rang me up. The experience was going as expected, until the end. I had order two kids combos, but only received the combo for one. When I pointed out the discrepancy, the male staff was already in the back and the female staff told me that “he probably didn’t include the cookie since we ran out and he would have had to take it out of the 1-dozen size bags and then we would only have 11 when it should be 12 and it’ll throw off our inventory.” I asked for an alternative, she said there wasn’t one. She asked if I still “needed” the cookie. I said that I have paid for it and didn’t receive it. She begrudgingly took the cookie out of the bag with the dozen, rudely gave it to me, and huffed her way back to the kitchen.
Love Potbelly’s, but absolutely will not be returning to this location.
Tip: check your order before leaving, especially for this location.

I had a terrible experience at this place. Barbara, one of the staff, spat in my food right in front of me! Completely unacceptable and disgusting behavior. I would never come back or recommend this place to anyone. Stay away!

I'm normally a huge enjoyer of potbelly's. However this was my first time to this location and the service is awful. Very rude staff, food took forever, then I was missing one of my sandwiches and was told I never ordered it (they eventually made it). They also made my shake vanilla when I order Oreo. Overall the staff looks like they hate their lives. It was a very uncomfortable experience.

It’s been a since I ate at the South Barrington location back around 2016-2017, but I enjoyed eating at this sandwich fast food restaurant chain, after eating at familiar fast food restaurant chains for many years.

Frequent customer of this establishment. So disappointed with the experience last night. Service was great, food was okay but it was like eating in a freezer. I swear it was warmer outside than in the restaurant. The workers blammed that it is an old building (not buying that ) after talking with others in the area it is known that the heat is not on or barely on. Don't visit here in the middle of winter unless you like eating with your coat on.
Beware if you are Latino! Seems they don’t like Latinos! 👎

I absolutely love Potbelly sandwiches! The fresh ingredients and unique flavor combinations make each bite a delicious experience. The bread is always perfectly toasted and the fillings are generous. I especially enjoy the Turkey Club with avocado and bacon - it's a flavor explosion in every bite. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere at Potbelly make it a great spot for a quick lunch or casual dinner. I highly recommend trying their sandwiches - you won't be disappointed!

I ordered a salad and half of it had bad lettuce not worth the money or the walk to get it. They could’ve done better.

I was glared down and expected to leave a tip on the credit card machine.
That's not the way to get a tip.
