The Mehanata Specialty Pork had a nice flavor but was super greasy and a bit too salty for my taste. The Meatball Soup ended up being the highlight of the meal — I was surprised it was served cold (since that wasn’t listed in the description), but it was light, refreshing, and well-seasoned.

The Chicken and Pork Combo Grill was cooked perfectly and came in a generous portion — definitely enough to feed two people. However, the fries underneath were soaked in oil, and all the meats seemed to share a similar seasoning. The side of fresh tomatoes, cucumber, and red onions helped cut through the richness nicely.

The Parlenka was cooked well and paired great with the meats.

I ordered through DoorDash, and the delivery time was reasonable. I’d come back to try other dishes in the future. The saltiness may just be my palate since I don’t usually consume much salt.

Very fun atmosphere and great service. We got a shopska salad, fries with cheese, chicken wrap, and chicken soup. The fries were phenomenal. Also finished with a crème brule that is a must have.

My husband and son live 2.5 hours.
I was flying out of ORD for a travel agent convention and stayed at a hotel down the street.
We found this quaint place by chance and LOVED it. Our server was incredible! He explained everything to us, provided excellent recommendations and made sure we enjoyed our experience.
In fact we enjoyed it so much that as soon as my husband picked me up at ORD today, we headed straight to the restaurant.
The aromatic salt they provided or the bread was delightful. So much so that I researched it and was going to try to replicate it at home when our server gave us instructions to a grocery store nearby that carried it.
We will most definitely be back!!

The wait for the salad was incredibly long! They told me several times to wait a few more minutes, but I waited 35 minutes for the salad!!

Exceptional value in a restaurant. Portions are surprisingly large and everything we had was very good. While not a big fan of tongue, it was the best I have eaten. Will return.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Bulgarian restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with rustic décor that reflected authentic Bulgarian traditions. The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready to explain the dishes and recommend specialties.

The food was absolutely delicious. I tried the traditional Shopska salad, which was fresh, light, and bursting with flavor. The grilled kebapche and kavarma were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, giving a real taste of Bulgaria’s rich culinary heritage. The bread was freshly baked and paired beautifully with the dips. To finish, I had a slice of baklava that was sweet and indulgent without being overwhelming.

What I loved most was the balance between authentic flavors and generous portions, all at a reasonable price. Whether you are familiar with Bulgarian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this restaurant offers a true taste of the country. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys hearty, flavorful, and traditional meals in a cozy setting.

A great place to bring a girlfriend for many hours of conversations and good time, without feeling guilty of taking too long as most of other restaurants which give you the bill after 2 hours. The service is always pleasant and considerate. Menu consist of home comfort foods which you won't find anywhere else. A place that takes you back the memory line to grandma and childhood. Wide variety of bulgarian drinks, flavors, music that won't hurt your ears...
