Jibarito Time Inc, Chicago Style Plantain Sandwiches

I placed an order online. My order was accepted and the money was taken out of my account. I drove 20 minutes to pick up my food just to find they’re closed. This is very upsetting and I won’t be back. Online says they’re open along with their voicemail. Please don’t accept online orders if you’re going to be closed. Very unprofessional.

We would have loved to try the food but the atmosphere felt instantly hostile. When we walked in the door to place an order at 8:17pm.. The website states that the restaurant closes at 9:00pm. We arrived to place our order noone else was seated but a lone gentleman sitting, that I think worked there was in the restaurant. The young man manning the counter did not greet us. I had to ask after being greeted with silence if they were open. He replied “for what?” I replied to place an order - to which he replied that they closed at 8:00pm today. No other explanation. Dispite the large flashing OPEN sign in the window and the door being unlocked.. if you’re trying to drive away business, then congratulations, you’ve succeeded.

Yall bogus for this food, taste plain no flavor and the rice was not made by a Puerto Rican. If I could give 0 stars I would. Shame on yall.

I enjoy the food every time I go by. Today I took my kids and they enjoy the meal as well. Walked out very happy and full. Food so good ready for a good sleep ; )

I been coming here since they first open, and let me say the food is absolutely AMAZING!! No disappointments, I was happy to have the meal I had. I always get the steak jibarito, but this time I have got the lechon and the meat was so tender and moist ! Very well satisfied.

The business owner should read his bad reviews and learn to accept and make improvements. Instead, he gets offended and bashes his customers. I am not the only person to complain that the food is salty and lacks good taste. The food is awful and so is customer service. I've told my coworkers to save their money and try La Bomba or Ponce instead.

Food was ok but way overpriced. In chicago you can get a jibarito for the same price with rice. Would have gave it a 5 star if not so expensive .

My jibarito Was so soggy! They didn’t even make an effort to fry it! So disgusting. Couldn’t even eat it. It was all falling apart. Rice was not good. It was cold. And on top of that I was overcharged! No wonder they didn’t give me a receipt. Shame on this place! It was a young guy in there on 5/07/2025 at 1pm.
