This small family owned restaurant is everything and more! The food and portion size is amazing. The meat is seasoned perfectly. I recommend the steak Jibarito or if you like a bit of heat try the Buffalo chicken. Rice is cooked to perfection. To top it off, the staff are so polite and friendly. 10/10 recommend. I will definitely be coming back!!

Fresh made to order Jibaritos. Friendly quick service. Their tostones with garlic are good.

This place is awesome! First, the staff is really nice. And the jibarritos are so good. The best lechon or pernil I've had so far. I also like the way the make the bowls. You still get a bit of everything even rice.

Where do I even start smh badly seasoned steak tasted like hamburger grease plantains we’re not fully cooked the sandwich was a mess if you want an authentic jabarito this IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO the rice was decent but had to order and pay for a side even tho there is a sign up at the register that states free rice with your jabarito the whole lunch experience was blah thankfully in good company otherwise I’d be extremely annoyed at this point anyhow yeah save your money or go get a Mc double for &3 vs $12 they taste exactly the same smh

We were craving jibarito and our Skokie places have closed, so we drove a while but it was totally worth it! Delicious crispy plantain. The proprietor and his family were working and happy to chat and check on us. Occasionally they have specialty Puerto Rican dishes, we ordered some pasteles for Christmas and they were fantastic! Definitely worth a trip!

The day I went here it was a wild go , but when I did the food was very good and they were friendly. I have been thinking of going again. It's a Puerto Rican Restaurant ??.

Disgusting!!!! I should've known it wasn't going to be good as it was ready in less than 5 minutes! There's nothing authentic about this! It's a fraud of a jibarito sandwich! Plantain tastes old! Meat tastes boxed and freezer burned almost.Highly overpriced for the quality you receive. I'm typing this from the parking lot! Never again!!!!

Tried the steak jibarito and some maduros. It was tasty. They were out of fries when I went there. So, sometimes you have this platonic ideal version of a sandwich. You regularly went to a place and really liked something and you go to another place, they opted to close and now you look for a replacement and you are a bit disappointed it isn't that. This is a very good sandwich. It may not quite be my new ideal, but I expect I will go periodically. There is a lot of variety I look forward to exploring. They have a veggie and tilapia option I will have to have my wife sample as she, too, is chasing a no longer available sandwich from another place.Another bit to point out is airport proximity. Last minute panic dining of a fairly unique Chicago sandwich? Quick pickup treat as a bonus for airport pickups/dropoffs? Food for the plane? It isn't quite right there but it is a reasonable nearby option for something not well represented in the suburbs.Vegetarian options: They gave a vegetarian option and talk about potentially making it vegan. Untried so, not sure how it goes.Parking: Small strip mall lot, generally not too bad.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu. Food is reasonably friendly for adventurous kids. My kids like maduros.Wheelchair accessibility: Didn't see anything too unusual for accessibility but didn't look too hard.

Once again NOT OPEN DURING POSTED BUSINESS HOURS!!! 1/17/24 10:10amThere’s a sign on the door that states they closed early yesterday but will reopen 1/17 (today) at normal business hours. I’ve been here 45 minutes waiting for them to open and no one is here. This is the closest PR restaurant near me. And that’s the only reason I continue to attempt to come. But this is almost every time I come. So disappointing

You are doing yourselves a severe deprivation unless you go and check out this absolute GEM of spot. Please is small inside, but absolutely clean and pleasant... you can dine-in, takeout, or cater. I have had most of their sandwiches... my only problem is deciding which I like best. Just today I had them cater my portion of a work potluck lunch... ordered their tostones and maduros as sides for 25 people. I had the pleasure of working directly with the owner on the order.... very professional gentlemen. Food is amazing.
