The food was amazing. Our server was great. We went in about an hour before they closed and asked if it was okay and they were okay with it and didn't seem annoyed at all. All staff was friendly and had smiles on their faces.

The place was small and kind of romantic. It's a great place to take a date, in my opinion. The service was great, the portions were pretty good. We got fresh bread to start and we ordered the brucheta, which doesn't have any tomatoes and was delicious. One entrée was a chicken marsala with potatoes, and it was very good also. The potatoes were cooked to perfection. The second entrée was a build your own pasta with chicken, vegetables, and spaghetti and was really great too. We will definitely be going back.

We've been wanting to try Basil Tree since we moved to Dixon and finally went last night. It was incredible. I got Veal Parm and it was amazing! Their bruschetta was fresh and delicious. We had an amazing dinner!

Absolutely wonderful food , excellent staff, and great atmosphere. I would definitely drive the 7 hours again just to eat here. Fantastic wine list (I didn't have any just read it). The filet was phenomenal and cooked to perfection, and the potatoes that came with my dish perfection. Highly highly recommend basil tree for a great night out with your wife or girlfriend.

Very upsetting that I have to give this poor rating to what was a favorite spot of mine. Prosciutto was horribly chewy with bone fragments, halibut was dry and chewy, they were out of two items our entire table wanted to order, and the manager or owner said " eh, it happens" and walked away. There is more, but I feel this is enough information. I sincerely hope they can get back to the standards they once had - I will be the first one back if they do!

Went with group of 9 adults on a Tuesday night. Not crowded. Service is not well versed in Italian food. Had long hair and beard with no cover. Food variety was good, but several items were not available. I ordered a special which was good except 1 part was very spicy hot. I couldn't eat it. There is no offer to replace it. CANOLLI very good.
