“Where do I start...I will begin by saying there isn't much open in Dixon, on a Monday evening. It was a half way mark for a blind date and the arrangements were made by my date. It was a success, all of it! The atmosphere is adorable and appropriate for a small bistro. Only about 15 tables as far as I could see but yet quiet and serene. I would make reservations even on a Monday Eve. It's worth a wait if needed.
The food....I wish I could still be sitting there eating the delicious rib eye and cheese ravioli. I seriously have not seen a steak that nice in quite some time. You can tell the chef put his all into these dishes. You can tell they took their time for the customer and pride in what they do. It honestly was a beautiful site and the flavor was incredible. Good portion size as well. We took leftovers home. That's always a good sign. I like to eat. Lol. Hangry is not a good look on me.
So go! Tell them Tina sent u and remember to call ahead....I would.

“Nice small town bar. It's a quaint place to grab a cold one and relax. It gas a pool table and video gaming. It sits across from the Rock river where there is a park with a canoe launch, and kitty corner from the John Deer museum. They also have a monthly cheese lady who sells Wisconsin goods.”

“This restaurant has really good food! The rice and beans are delicate and delicious. The steak taco was light and savory. The steak burrito was tasty. I added the wonderful green sauce, that comes at the start with the chips, to all three dishes to spice them up. Awesome meal!”

"Excuse me," I said, approaching the counter. "I think there's been a mistake. This isn't what I ordered."

The barista, looking harried, apologized and said they would remake it, but there was a long line of orders ahead. I sighed, accepting that I would have to wait, my morning schedule already feeling the pinch.

Just then, a girl standing next to me, who I hadn't noticed in my distracted state, turned and smiled. "Hey, I couldn't help but overhear. What was your order supposed to be?"

"Caramel macchiato with an extra shot," I replied, a hint of frustration in my voice.

Her eyes sparkled with understanding. "I can help with that. My name's Taylor, by the way. I actually work here part-time, but today I'm just grabbing a drink before class." She slid behind the counter with ease, her movements confident and fluid.

I watched as Taylor swiftly gathered the ingredients. She moved with the precision of someone who knew the rhythm of the place, despite not being on duty. In no time, she handed me a new cup, steam curling from the opening.

"Here you go," she said, her smile warm and reassuring. "One caramel macchiato with an extra shot, just the way you like it."

I took a cautious sip. The flavors were perfect—the rich espresso balanced by the sweet caramel, just as it should be. I looked at Taylor, gratitude flooding through me. "Thank you so much. You really saved my morning."

She laughed softly, a sound like a melody. "No problem at all. I'm glad I could help. Enjoy your drink, and have a great day."
