This restaurant had a name change a couple of months ago. It is now Mary's. We stopped based on reviews. Delicious breakfast. Huge portions. I wish I would have taken a picture. Highly recommend. Amazing service!

Great place service my waitress was so nice and polite. I tried the fried steak just didn't taste rightand I also had pancakes but they were so hard. Never again will I order that I also had soup of the day way too salty. Next time I'll just keep it

First time here and will definitely return. Didn't have to wait to be seated.Service was excellent. Waiter was very personable, knowledgeable, and fun. Gave us his recommendation (biscuits and gravy stacker or omelet (I had one and the wife had the other))and we were not disappointed. Small detail, but the coffee was delicious, too.Very quaint atmosphere with lots to look at on the walls.Overall, great experience. Will return to try other things, like the pork tenderloin sandwich.

What a great cafe! Don’t let the industrial neighborhood surroundings fool you, this is the warm and welcoming place to eat and lovely inside with tin ceilings and hand made wall art. Wonderful service, home baked treats and freshly made beverages. We enjoyed a gigantic bacon-avocado-swiss omelette and Cindy’s pancakes. Philly cheesesteak on hoagie with au jus, fresh burgers. Love the vibe here.

This is a nice diner. Nice ceilings, nice wall décor, good service and good food. I liked the fact that I could get lunch and my wife could get breakfast - 2 separate menus. I saw they had home made cinnamon rolls, so I ordered one split - my wife and I both enjoyed it. Yum! I had their Italian Beef Sandwich. It was served with au jus, and had cheese on it. It was very filling. The French fries were fresh and tasted great. My wife had their Cindy's Corned Beef Hash with 2 Eggs over Medium (you get to pick the way you want your eggs. She said she enjoyed it. Look around the place - it has an interesting kitsch going on. This isn't on the main drag of Dixon, so take a little side trip and try it out. You will be glad you did it.

Flynnie's is a favorite. Great variety of options. Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Clean. Fast service. Family-friendly. Not too loud, so you can visit. They even offer some GF options, which is nice. So glad we found this treasure!

My girlfriend and I were passing through Dixon on a Sunday returning home. We are not familiar with Dixon so we took to Yelp to find a place. Flynnie's had 4.5 stars with over 100 reviews... For a small city in Northern Illinois, that's crazy. So off we went.Flynnie's was easy to find, it looks like it's in a neighborhood that has seen better days, but don't let that dissuade you from going there. The parking is street parking, or at least I didn't see a lot. I did have some trouble finding a place to park, which ended up with me parking around the corner a couple of blocks away. The interior has an early 20th century look and feel. High, tin lined ceilings, large front windows, it was welcoming. When we arrived, there was a wait. There is a small shop to the side of the entrance where some homemade soaps and lotions where being sold, along with some other items. After a short wait we were shown to a table. The special for the breakfast was Corned Beef with potato pancakes. Both of us ordered it, with no regrets. It was absolutely fantastic. The Corned beef was cooked perfectly, the flavor was spot on. It was tender and faked apart as you cut it. The pancakes had a nice outer crispness to it, while the inside was soft. If I wanted to find an issue with them, I would be pressed to do so.The service was good. The staff seemed to be up to the job during this busy time. We didn't see any issues and had none ourselves. Overall, if you're in Dixon and looking for a solid breakfast. Give Flynnie's a try, you will not regret it.

Okay so it's really good breakfast that for taste deserves 5 stars... Only thing is, the last few weeks the omelets have been much smaller than usual. Their big fluffy omelets are a definitive driving factor on why we go there... last few weeks they've been flat&smaller and honestly kind of lacking on cheese. What's going on? Is there an egg shortage? Pay the same but recieve less.. please fix that!

The food is made poorly and served with unclean silver wear. The kitchen is not very clean and neither are the people who handle the food. It is a very conservative dinner, with service being different depending on who you are or what you look like. The worker and servers are nice. It is the owner that is rude and disrespectful. The food is stored open and labeled wrong. I feel bad for the employees, they are sometimes treated badly by the owner.

We came in near the end of Sunday lunch rush. Service was still excellent even with staff being very busy. Our order came out so quickly we were stunned it was possible to make it that fast.I got the biscuits and gravy omelet. An amazing combination I never knew I wanted. The food was excellent.Unlike other diners I've been to, this one is very clean. The floors and tables were NOT sticky. The bathroom was very clean, especially given how busy it was when we came in.The only thing I'm bringing down my review is the odd amount of religious signage. Perfectly fine if you're religious, but there is no need to be so blatant about it.

Ohmygosh, what a great hidden treasure! We found this little place while traveling through the area. The restaurant is nicely decorated and very welcoming. I mentioned to the server that I'd seen biscuits and gravy listed on the online menu. He recommended the Stuffed Biscuit and Gravy. Which has potatoes, an egg, an additional breakfast meat and smothered in sausage gravy. I ordered mine with bacon. Wowsers! It was so delicious! I let my wife sample it and she was quite impressed as well. Portion was good too. I was getting pretty full but justified finishing the whole thing because I told myself it wouldn't keep for traveling (wink.)As soon as I saw the menu I knew my wife would want to order her favorite breakfast item: corned beef hash. She got it with toast and one egg. The menu stated it was homemade and never out of a can. She absolutely loved it! I gave it a taste and it was the best I've ever tasted. Even better than I've ever made.We highly recommend Flynnie's Diner and will make a special effort to get there again if our travels take us to the area.
