We had a wonderful time, great staff. Good drinks . We travel from Oregon and prefer Galena over any other local places for a nice fine dining . Our server was Mattie & she was very kind .

Galena Steak House is probably the best all-around restaurant in a 30 mile radius, imho. The restaurant kind of had a lull in service and quality a few years back, and I wasn't sure they'd recover. But they really have, so big kudos to the management and everyone who works there for bringing back a very nice restaurant to our community! Well done!!

Visiting the Dixon area from Chicago and was suggested to give Galena a try for a real good steak, good food and good price point. I have to say, I was extremely impressed with my ribeye I'll place it in the top 3 ribeye I have ever eaten . Loved the restaurant had that old supper club feel to it, difficult to find any supper clubs these days . I also watched good being sent to other tables and it all looked really good. If your near Dixon I say it's worth the trip.

This was our first time & we celebrated our 25th anniversary there. I never said anything to them about it. I had the Gelana steak special, the steak was good & the sauce. I personally didn’t like those potatoes with it, maybe baked little red potatoes would have been better. My husband had the Ribeye and added mushrooms and onions. The salad bar is included for 1 trip up. Small plates. I really liked the pea salad. The garlic mashed potatoes were great. We weren’t offered fresh bread, but over heard another table offered some when they got seated. So not sure if that’s offered or not. I added a margarita, 2 choices. Strawberry (not fresh) but good or original.
Wheelchair accessibility: 2 spots at the main entrance
I got mushroom Swiss burgers for takeout, my first visit there. It's a beautiful place.Only $1 more than a Culver's double, so good deal.My only minor quibble is the menu said seasoned fries, and so while ordering, I confirmed seasoned fries twice for 1 of the sides, but they were plain, so I don't know if the menu was outdated or if i was misunderstood.Dad wasn't home when I arrived with the food, i usually let him choose which servings to eat, so I had the onion rings. He reheated his fries like hash browns for breakfast.Will definitely come back!
Parking: I parked on the side facing the way towards Walgreens, found the host desk on the other side that is closer to downtown.
