The new owners really take pride in running a great business. The golf course is a great public course and they’ve really upped the restaurant. There are now standard hours, better food, and lots of events as well as a larger dining room.

I've been playing Lost Nations for 3 decades now. I still love it. They've made lots of changes over the years to try and attract more golfers/events to the course. The last time I played here (June 2025) the greens were a bit rough. I follow them on social media and see they're trying to improve the greens and fairways, hopefully they get that worked out soon. Highly recommend you play here.

Definitely is a nice area. I have heard from one person at the course that it's rough and I had heard the same response from someone else in Iowa at a different course and that guy is from Chicago

Very disappointed in the course. It's difficult to even determine where the fairways are. So many dandelions. What happened to the greens?? This course is so far behind the other courses in the area!
