I've been playing Lost Nations for 3 decades now. I still love it. They've made lots of changes over the years to try and attract more golfers/events to the course. The last time I played here (June 2025) the greens were a bit rough. I follow them on social media and see they're trying to improve the greens and fairways, hopefully they get that worked out soon. Highly recommend you play here.
Definitely is a nice area.
I have heard from one person at the course that it's rough and I had heard the same response from someone else in Iowa at a different course and that guy is from Chicago

The new owners really take pride in running a great business. The golf course is a great public course and they’ve really upped the restaurant. There are now standard hours, better food, and lots of events as well as a larger dining room.
