Cedar Grill in a small strip mall just west of FannyMay Candies, on Ogden and Finley in Downers Grove. The food was good, Holly at the counter made me feel welcome. Some of the dishes I'm unfamiliar with, but I would like to try others. Getting into the parking lot coming from the west is a little tricky but doable . The entrance is on the east side of the building, so I recommend parking the east side of the building , worth checking out.

Food was good I ordered beef shawarma bowl. However, who puts garlic sauce with the beef shawarma and not tahini sauce. Garlic sauce is meant for the chicken.

Our family loves cedar grill! It’s the best! My 7 year old says “want to come here every day!”

I have been going to Cedar Grill for years. It's close to our office. I pick up food for my office staff usually about once per month. I have no issues with the food, however the prices have been ticking up consistently over the last few years. They are now excessive in my opinion. They also have a sign at the register that says Pay Cash and no credit card fee. This CC fee added another $3 to my total bill. This really irritated me. For owners not to pay tax on cash payments I have to pay a credit card fee. Great trade off. I will not be going to Cedar Grill anymore. I don't see value compared to other similar options.

I was raised on Greek food. It's the cuisine we eat to celebrate birthdays, weddings and Easter. Greek food is joy for me. I have never...EVER...had a better gyros than Cedar Grill's. It is abundant, flavorful, cooked just right (thick and crispy) and the pitas, sauce and red onions just make it. You will not be disappointed!

OMG I ordered the chicken kabob meal. Jerusalem Cafe has some major competition. Hearty portions of delicious grilled chicken and Humus with grilled vegetables ?. I ate the whole thing! Loved it! I'll definitely order again! ???

The food is always fresh and even saves well with takeout and leftovers. They have pretty generous portion sizes, too. Love this place!

New Ownership? If so, it is the end of a dynasty. I've been coming to this place since college (2008, 16 year customer!!!) I just finished dinner here and the food was inedible. I ordered 2 falafel sandwiches and the falafels were not cooked. Outside of the falafels being raw, the sandwiches were such a let down with the new recipe. I don't know if it's new ownership, but I can't figure out how a standard sandwich which I've ordered for 16 years exclusively has degraded to this level. I wasted $30 and a 40min drive to come to this place. Would not recommend this place.

What happened to this place? The food is inedible!!! When you throw out a $20 meal because you can’t stomach eating it, you HAVE to let others know to save their money and hit up another place - any place - instead!

The falafel, gyros, and shawarma are fantastic. This is one of our favorite take out restaurants in Downers Grove. They have also updated their menu with a wider variety of foods. Thank you, Cedar Grill!

Tried for the first time today and was very disappointed. Got two chicken shawarma plates and a side of falafel. Chicken was dried up and hard like they reheated yesterday’s chicken on the grill for too long. Rice was okay and falafel did not taste good. We tried to eat a couple bites since we paid almost $40, but it was so bad we got up and threw it in the trash. Staff saw us but didn't bother to ask if everything was okay as we threw away full plates of food and walked out.
