This road-trip stop was actually for trying their 25th anniversary stout (which was nitro and delicious with a free snifter glass, too!) but we also had some great food.
Ate outside off a less busy side street and had the Club on a ciabatta roll (would have been really nice with some hand-cut smoked turkey) a Cubano (very good) and the spicy pork sandwich (very good).
Food prices are in line with quality, but the stout price with the glass was a steal! Tried to get a growler fill, but couldn’t be done.
One guy pretty much working the whole place, but took care of us nicely.
Never been to Downers Grove, but looked like it would have been nice to walk around.

The stuffed pork chop was very good and the seating in the bar area was relaxing. Excellent service

Ordered medium rare prime rib. It came out well done, with blue cheese dressing instead of horse sauce, The baked potato wasnt cooked enough and the broccoli was cooked to mush and covered in garlic and salt....like thats gonna do anything. The potsticker appetizer has a sauce that was basically salty bitter dirt water.
Service was fine, beer was good. Go somewhere else.

Prices are reasonable and food is very good. Our server was very attentive but not overly so. Highly recommend Emmett's Brewing Co.

The food doesn't look like much in the photos, but don't be deceived, the burgers absolutely enormous. Service was quick, food came out hot and fresh and beer was very good.
Could have been a little bit more flavorful or special but what you got was just a good burger, good fries, and a pleasant place to be.

Food was well above average pub fare. Service was really supportive. It was a fairly empty Sunday afternoon. This place should be packed!

Unfortunately the beer battered cod was overcooked and totally just greasy. The coleslaw had a sour taste to it like it was left out or old. The tartar sauce was more watery.
It's too bad it turned out like this, I was looking forward to it but eventually just picked at it and left it.

I stepped into my old work, which was founders Hill and is now Emmett’s, to have a beer and lunch. The bartender, Will, was Insurance super nice, attentive and friendly. Even the server who came around for drinks and the bar back who is helping out were very nice. Thanks for a great afternoon guys!

Threw my 50th birthday party here on Friday night. Super easy process from start to finish. Unfortunately I told them 40 people would show up and over 100 did. Bartenders and staff weren't too thrilled with the number of people that showed up but they worked really hard to meet our needs. Food was also really good. I would highly recommend Emmets for another party.

My wife and I came here for dinner with a friend from out of town. The beer was good. We started with a Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps appetizer which was quite fresh and delicious. It came deconstructed to make your own wraps. For dinner, my wife had a salad with chicken and our guest had a burger. Both looked pretty good. I had Fish and Chips and, because it was a Friday nite, it was all you can eat. From a fish and chips standpoint it was okay. The battering was crispy but it was too thick and lacked some seasoning. It was a very chewy bite as the fish was buried and the tartar sauce and malt vinegar were needed to help brighten it. Now, maybe I'm being picky but it didn't wow me enough to want to run back for it. All you can eat or not, I'd probably try something else from the menu. The fries that came with it were very good.

Nice place for lunch. Prices reasonable. Atmosphere was good. Parking a bit trying. Actually met with a group for lunch and had to park several blocks away but overall a great place to meet up
Fabulous hospitality at this restaurant. Our party of 17 was accommodated flawlessly beginning to end. Thank you for allowing us to bring in a cake, and have such a big crowd. We appreciated every second of the kind service
Ok I don’t even like beer and the ipa and the Weiss go down so easily . Highly recommend getting their cob salad and mixing their homemade ranch dressing with balsamic dressing and pouring that over the meal. You’ll thank me later . FYI - soup of the days are amazing chicken and wild rice as well as French onions are the best. I worked here 20 years ago and still crave the food
