Excellent option for Thai. Clean, nice ambiance, beer, wine and delicious food. Friendly service, the owner is engaged with all aspects. The best option for Thai

It was dinner time when we were driving by and saw the sign for Thai First. Thai food being our favorite, we (I was with my wife) decided to get soup to take home. Thai First in Downers Grove located in a strip mall has a small but nice dining room, and a good selection of items on the menu. The Tom Kha soup we had was one of the best soups we have had. Really enjoyed the spicy, tangy, and zesty soup. I look forward to visiting Thai First again in good times for sit-in-dining and have a full course dinner there.

What a wonderful family restaurant! Very high quality seating, artwork and colors. Neat and clean, the tables, china and cloth napkins lend an air of elegance unexpected in this convenient strip mall. Limited seating may mean you'll have to wait for a table. They enjoy a busy take-out business. We ate in and the menu includes an awesome selection of dishes. When served, the dishes were piping hot and very tasty. The owner, wait staff and chef are very personable and attentive. We will definitely return to sample more of the superb foods. Thank you for being there!

When this restaurant opened, it was excellent (if you did not mind to sweet dishes). After a long time, my wife and I have decided to give it another try, hoping that we can get something that is not too sweet. We ordered hot shrimps and Mongolian beef in addition to appetizers. Crab Rangoon was OK and the pot-stickers were very good - and so was the jasmine tea. Red hot shrimp were served with an abundance of carrots, while the listed read cabbage was missing - and the taste was unremarkable. Granted, Mongolian beet is not a Thai dish, but it does not justify cutting the corners and modifying the recipes to unrecognizable dish: the green onions, without which the dish is unthinkable, were missing while there was a plenty of the green pepper, which is not a part of the original recipes. And again, there was an abundance of the carrots. The result had a very poor taste. When this restaurant started, it demonstrated a great attention to detail, food was very tasty (if you can take the overly sweet food) - and now it seems to slip very much bellow its original standard.

This thai restaurant has a very nice elegant presentation. The service was very friendly, kind and pleasant. I am only giving it an average rating because 1) our dishes were brought out separately and 2) the food was not that tasty and 3) there was not much of it!
