We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Foxtail. From the moment we sat down, the service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely warm. The place was busy as early as 5:30, but our hosts were helpful when we asked for a different table (my wife doesn't do well with high-top tables)
The food was outstanding across the board. We started with drinks and an appetizer of crab claws, which were perfectly prepared and a great way to kick things off. For mains, we shared the paella and the red snapper. Both were top notch, it’s hard to pick a favorite.
The tahini dream bars were fantastic and a memorable finish to an already amazing meal.
Overall, a terrific dining experience from start to finish. Great service, excellent food, and a unique Mediterranean inspired menu that really delivers. We’ll absolutely be back.

I have been here a few times but never left a review , me and my mom and sister came to the bar on Saturday night , amazing music, food and atmosphere . The krombacher beer is amazing , the bartender Stephen took care of us and had great recommendations. Another great experience here. Also Alexa was super sweet and cheery and she chatted with us, offered to take pictures and took great pics! :) we will be back . Very friendly staff, good atmosphere and good quality . The beet salad, hummus plate, grilled octopus, and the crab claws are all great dishes . Thank you!

OMG, where do I even begin? The Foxtail Downer's Grow was incredible. It was our first visit and we were completely blown away. The service was excellent, the food tasted amazing, and everything exceeded our expectations. Truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve had.

I've been wanting to check out The Foxtail and finally did. A friend and I had an early dinner there last night and were both quite satisfied.
We started with the cauliflower appetizer. It was quite good. I roast cauliflower all the time at home but the savory sauce on theirs gave it a spectacular taste, accompanied by the crisp parmigiano. Or was it parmasean...anyhoo,it was tasty. My dinner companion ordered a mocktail. Don't recall which one, but she noted it was refreshing and flavorful.
For mains, I couldn't decide between the grouper or freekah risotto. I was so intrigued by the use of freekah to make a risotto that I had to go with it. My companion went with the grouper. We were both very satisfied. I grew up eating freekah in a soup, which is a common dish in Palestinian homes, but never would I have thought to use it that way. Fabulous and hearty. And more health benefits than traditional risotto. Great innovation.
We didn't make it to dessert, unfortunately because I was looking forward to the tahini dream bars. But the food was so filling there just wasn't room.
I'll certainly be back. I really appreciated the middle-eastern/North African influence on the menu. Not appropriating anything but rather celebrating and incorporating flavors from the Levant region and North Africa. Thank you!
Had a great first experience there. To start, the guests before us paid their tab but sat at the table for 45 minutes. The manager Nate was very apologetic and bought us a drink while we waited. We finally sat after 45 minutes, feeling satisfied however that the resteraunt could not control it and they acknowledge the issue. Our waiter was great, the food was better than advertised and as the bill came Nate had taken off another drink and appetizer. It’s rare these days managers go above and beyond to make an experience worth it. In this case, Nate and staff won us over as first time patrons who will undoubtedly be back in the next 30 days. Thank you for a great experience! And PS- guests who tie up tables after paying, please be considerate and know the resteraunt and staff suffer by not turning tables over as he sit and wait.

Delish and delightful! Gorgeous atmosphere, tried and true variety of East getting along great with west, us three enjoyed a brunch time with a spicy yellow cocktail and a fantastic spicy bloody Mary complete with shrimp and bacon. I was surprised the menu kept going then realized the wine list shames the food! How do people decide?! Thankfully the staff seems capable to assist but we didn't need guidance. Tried the pork belly omelet special, burger, and I had the something I don't know how to spell! That egg tomato sauce sausage dish! Unfortunately I couldn't find any sausage at all during my eat, which was the main reason to get it. The others did much better finishing off their dishes quickly. I can see this being the main hotspot for downtown Downers for years to come and perhaps they'll add a couple more burgers, savory crepe, and southern shrimp and grits to the plates.

The food is amazing here, because of quality fresh ingredients, chefs who know how to use them, and proffesional servers. Its top 3 place around the area to go to. Also would like to thank manager Wesley for helping us to organize large group evening, it was perfect.
