The brisket was dry, flavorless, and tough. They have several different sauces, most of them taste extremely similar. The ribs were decent though.

Great food--excellent service! Met up with 6 other couples for lunch yesterday (Sat Jun 22) afternoon. The manager and staff were very accommodating allowing us to gather, eat and hang out for a while. My pulled pork was tender and flavorful...I topped it off with the spicy and slightly sweet "Cherry Bomb" BBQ sauce and it was outstanding. My sides of baked beans and coleslaw were also very very good.

The location was central for this group that came down from the suburbs, down from Peru and up from Springfield and Bloomington...it was our first gathering at Cherry Red Roasters, but we all enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere and immediately afterwards were talking about scheduling another group gathering there again in the near future.

This place needs a deep cleaning and clean paint,So does the cook, we won't go back!and the bill was 38 plus dollars. Way too expensive

We went for evening dinner. They were out many sides off the menu. I grabbed a zero Pepsi out of the cooler and was told not to drink those, they're flat and the boss drinks them. No other options for zero sugar drinks. No problem, they had bottled water. I ordered no bun, and was given a bun, again no big deal, picked it off. Husband had to wait for a side to finish cooking, again we overlooked it as he has his sandwich to eat while waiting. The meat was cold and dry. The sauce jars and tables were sticky, definitely not wiped down regularly. However, the taste of the sauces were good. They forgot my bottled water, which we had to remind them when they brought my husband's delayed side-however the water was warm and bottle filthy dirty, I couldn't even drink out of it. I had to throw it away. Not an overall pleasant experience. This was a Friday night, we kinda expected them to be better prepared. There was only one poor worker, doing everything themselves. I felt bad for them. I don't think we'll be going back. Incidentally, I also posted a Facebook review (this exact review) and they responded, not with an apology or “thanks for the feedback” but with a comment about “hoping Jesus forgives my lack of empathy for small business owners”. Then they proceeded to delete my comment and block me from their page. Very unprofessional. We had sympathy for the poor lady working by herself. However, this only dampened our opinion and has now spurred us to tell everyone we know our experience and post this review on Google that they can’t delete.

I got brisket, pulled pork, and a quarter slab of ribs. The bark on the brisket was delicious but the brisket was dry. The ribs had a beautiful smoke ring but they may have been sitting out for a little bit because they were a little dry. The pulled was excellent. Very juicy and had a really good flavor. I loved the baked beans. The apples were a little too sour for my liking. I think some brown sugar on the apples would have made them so much better. I also got the barbecue potato. That was 10/10. It was delicious.
