Foxes Boxes is an absolutely incredible locally owned bakery - with delectable food, outstanding sweets, and amazing coffee, it's a must stop for any local or traveling foodie. They also have dog treats that my pups love! Best macarons around - hands down!
The atmosphere is charming & the owner and staff are all delightful. It's a great place for a sit down breakfast or lunch, meetings, working from home days, and a quick bite.

Made fresh delicious sweets. Best cream horn around! Loved the Lox Bagel, bagel breakfast sandwiches, biscuit breakfast sandwiches. Can’t leave without an assortment of pastries. Great staff! Perfect addition to Bethalto area restaurants.
The lunches are delicious and quick! The employees are friendly and helpful too.
Today I ordered for breakfast a slice of the bacon, provolone and egg quiche, one biscuit and sausage gravy, and a coffee. This is the second time I have visited this restaurant, the last time I tried their kolaches. The reason for my low rating with regards to their food: the only item that I was satisfied with was the free water bottle. First, the kolaches are soggy on the top when they are reheated. Not very appetizing. The quiche bacon/provolone/egg quiche didn’t taste great but wasn’t terrible, either. It was reheated and served to me. I could not taste the provolone cheese at all, and it was OK not good enough to be valued at three dollars per slice. The biscuit and sausage gravy was a little bit better than the quiche, but once again, the gravy was served to me reheated. It seems like they can only cook things in a microwave. Why can’t they keep a reserve of homemade gravy hot? a mini countertop crockpot would keep gravy, hot…one biscuit with sausage gravy on top of it cost five dollars. I feel like this place is a little pricey to be serving reheated microwaved food. The sausage gravy was pretty good, but the service is disappointing. Even their coffee had too much water in it and was diluted. After drinking 2 cups, the caffeine was not working for me and it’s no surprise because it was too watered down. Also, there’s no orange juice available for breakfast. I hate to give this place a low rating, but the food is just too disappointing, especially for the high prices they command. I don’t have the heart to give them less than two stars, but I will likely not be returning to this restaurant. The young lady at the counter was nice, and the decorations are cute.

My wife and I visited for the first time today, the BLT with candied bacon was excellent, even Gordon Ramsay would approve. The biscuits and gravy also excellent, staff very accommodating and the owner (from the UK) was very friendly, she told us she will make foods to special order with time and workload permitting. A unique establishment, none corporate, friendly eatery,we highly recommend a visit, they also have an assortment of English tea.

Foxes Boxes made a delicious vegan chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting for my birthday. It was beautiful and tasted amazing… even my non-vegan family members loved it. This has become a yearly tradition for sure.
Vegetarian options: This cake was special order and the turnaround time was good.

Most of the baked goods were hard and slightly over-baked. The cinnamon roll didn't have any cinnamon to the taste. I do have to say, I love their butter cake, and their soft chocolate brownie.

Delicious as always! Bianca was particularly happy with her SimmaNim roll :) I love the Kolache and the s'mores bars but everything I've ever tried was delicious

Thoroughly enjoyed the Halloween Tea today. So much effort was taken to keep to the theme, from the costumes of the staff to the decorations and the food items served. A wide selection of sweet and savory cakes and pastries served with quality hot tea.

They gave my biscuits and gravy to the wrong customer allowed her to leave the shop with the food then return in a short while to return it, they then tried to still give it to me and act like nothing was wrong. Then when I called them on it and asked for new food or a refund they were argumentative and nasty about it. They then proceeded to mess up the very next order and mix it with my still uncorrected order. Absolute fail!
