I usually am not a fan of barbecue, but that was some of the best food I've had in a long time. Ribs were fall off the bone, chicken was moist and delicious, and the sausage is my new favorite food in town.Not to mention, all the staff are super friendly, and the highlight of my visit!Lived here for 20 years and always passed by (never even knew it was a restaurant) but I HIGHLY reccomend stopping to try!
$38 for 5 hotdogs w Chips. Doesn't come with fries, and they don't do chicago style hotdogs. I will go back to try other bbq like the brisket.

Dukes BBQ is a fantastic joint, and the owner is a good guy. Just ate there for the 1st time today, and the ribs are the best. Great dry rub and sauce. Talked to the owner Duke, and he is a good-hearted person. The train caboose is a cool location, too. Mac and cheese is great!

We stopped by Duke's on a whim on a Sunday afternoon around 1:30. My husband, my daughter and I ordered a brisket sandwich and a pulled chicken sandwich to share. The lovely woman taking our order answered all our questions and was so incredibly nice. Duke was also there and was equally wonderful. The little caboose is so adorable! There are many picnic tables available but it was cold so we decided we would eat in the car before we headed to the grocery store. We placed our order and sat in our car until it was ready. Both sandwiches were amazing. Incredible. We also ordered a Mac and cheese to bring home to our son but we each took a bite of it... family tax. Our son loved it! He was asking for more later that night. Like I said, the sandwiches were incredible... the slaw was just like the slaw I make and it was delicious. There were lots of napkins in the bag and some wet wipes as well. Such a good meal and one that I look forward to having again. Thanks Duke!

My daughter and I loved everything about this lunch stop. We each had the pulled pork sandwich. It was absolutely delicious. Prime pieces of meat, no fat, no grizzle, seasoned rub, tasty sauce, the type of flavors that I’ve had when I travel down south. The sides of coleslaw were so delicious. I would’ve been tempted to take some home if we didn’t have several stops in between. My daughter and I, both agreed The coleslaw might’ve been the best tasting coleslaw we’ve ever had. Duke the owner told us the recipe was from his uncle down in Mississippi. And it tasted like it came from the best family reunion picnic ever. We also tried the half slab of the St. Louis ribs. I’m generally more of a baby back connoisseur, but these were so tender and tasty, that it tells me I definitely need to go back and try the baby back ribs. If you like St. Louis ribs, these will blow your socks away. When I got in the car my first call was to my other daughter who’s currently in Ohio and a huge rib fan to tell her when she comes home in December for the holidays we’re going to be stopping here. The train car restaurant, with seating outside, blues playing, is just a really cool vibe. Duke could not have been any kinder to both myself and my daughter. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, hospitality, and his personality. Do yourself a favor and stop here.

I am a fan of Great BBQ and Duke’s is the best I ever had. Rib tips, BBQ chicken, Slabs of Ribs, Pulled Pork, Brisket etc ….it is all lovingly smoked to perfection onsite in huge barrel grills and smokers,. Duke , his father Tanzy and the whole staff are very friendly to everybody and they have the blues playing for a great vibe. For you cyclists, it is right on the bike trail! Come and try Dukes, you won’t regret it….I guarantee it!

The meats are smoked fresh outside daily and you’ll know when the meats are smokin LOL. Delicious sides, fun atmosphere and an absolute delight when you run into Duke himself. We love this gem right in our hometown!
