Was in town again looking for breweries, this one came up close to my room. So funny, I've seen this place at home and never made it past the word 'granite' so I figured this was a store to buy or choose from large quantities of granite, lol. I remember having the fondest memories of Granite City about ten years ago. The portions were big and the food was good. I hadn't returned here since and I was surprised it was just so-so this time around. The portions seemed smaller and the prices are higher. I started off with the French Onion Soup which was delightful. Great flavor and very cheesy on top. The Man a Mia meatballs, garlic bread, and cheesy potatoes were average. The patio at Granite City is one of the nicest places to dine outside in the Peoria area, in our opinion. I really like the beer flight, in which you can try 4 different beers. Moreover, the food and service were very good last evening. (And you can purchase $100 in Granite City gift cards at Costco for $80 :)
