“I expected this restaurant to remind me of the old Boyd's Steakhouse. The food was wonderful, but the brightly lit, loud setting was disappointing. Our waitress was wonderful! Sadly, I can't remember her name. The steaks were cooked perfectly. The very large serving of whipped potatoes melted in my mouth. Our waitress warned us how big the serving was, so we split it and added a side of asparagus to split. Lovely meal, I just wish they would dim the lights some and add some acoustic tiles or canvas hangings to absorb some of the noise.Be sure to get a reservation, even for the bar, so you aren't disappointed.“
“The only thing that we didn't like is that we showed up for our reservation and they didn't the table ready for us.. this was a very large group and they said they were busier than usual and didn't have table available and we would need to wait 10-15mins... Otherwise everything was great and out easier was “
“My wife and I visited the Peoria location. We both ordered a salad bar for dinner. Salad bar was very well maintained. Salad bar was very good. We received our bill and I paid cash. Waiter never returned with change and assumed the entire amount of change was his tip. A bit too much of a tip for two self serve salad bars. Mentioned it to the manager and he did not address my concerns. Poor management skills! So be ware of paying with cash!“
“The atmosphere was great fulfilled with kind staff. The restaurant had great food and would definitely go back if I knew the service was better. My party had to wait for at least an hour for our food. The service was not too great; however, I feel and hope that it was just that day.“
“We were promptly sat. Our server came andtook our drink orders. He was fantastic!! Our appetizer come out followed by our salads. At almost the perfect timing. The steak was cooked perfectly and the chicken tenders were excellent as always. Will definitely be going back“
“Family tried this place for the first time the other night. Everything was delicious! Do yourself a favor and order the Potato dauphinoise as a side. The ambiance inside is a lower light setting, which is appreciated, and definitely has hints of French influence on the menu and the restaurant decor. The only knock I can give is regarding the dining room noise when the restaurant is full; some noise-dampening panels on the walls or hung from the ceiling would help. Just be aware that if you get to the restaurant before the rest of your party, you'll need to wait at the bar before being seated at your designated table. Overall, we'll definitely add Jim's to our list of dinner options in the future.“
“There was a wait for the dining room, so we chose to eat in the bar area. Bar area seemed very blah compared to dining room, no carryover of the theme beyween rooms. Service was great & food delivered quickly. We ordered seafood for our entrees & both seemed very one note and lacked any flavor.Dietary restrictions: Several gluten free options“
“The food and service were excellent. I've never had a bad experience at roadhouse. My only criticism this time was the music seemed unusually loud. We were there at the dinner rush so the loud music caused conversations to be loud. It was just noisy. But not a problem. Definitely not a deal breaker for a great steak and fall off the bone ribs.“
