I went Sept 6th, 2025, around 8:30pm. I was hoping for the Steak and Shake experience I had as a younger adult. Not that I party like that anymore, but it was the hangout at 3 am. Anyways, the food, you have to order it on a kiosk. The food is brought out to you, then if you get a drink, you use a barcode to scan from your receipt at the fountains, to get them to work. 😟Tuesday 8/6/2024. Just had lunch there! We have been customers of S&S for many decades and have seen many changes over the years. The food is still good but, the maintenance of the facility has gone down hill again. Both urnials were broken, the toilets were filthy, no paper towels, and the dinning area was dirty. I enformed the lady at the grill about needing paper towels, but no one bothered to replenish them while we were there.

East Peoria Steak n Shake was a very bad experience for my wife and myself! Will never return! Service terrible waited over 30 min for our order. Never got it. Asked MGR about getting a refund, didn’t even get out order yet Then told us it’s ready. Cold. Very cold. Mgr put it into microwave to heat up. Now can’t eat it because it was boiling hot!!!
