“We always really enjoyed the chicken strip basket from DQ but it’s too far to go. Tonight I ordered the strips and fries from Treats R’ Us in Edgewood and we will never make a trip to Effingham again for our favorite fast food meal. And I’m not gonna lie, I tried a small blueberry ice cream cone as well, and it was fantastic. Don’t overlook these small town food and ice cream places when you are looking for some good food! They are hidden gems.”

“I was so impressed with the variety of gluten free options on Luke’s menu! I have never been to a restaurant and had so many things to choose from. I was even more impressed when I received my food. Everything was beyond delicious and you couldn’t tell anything was gluten free. Everyone is so friendly and the atmosphere is great! I highly recommend Luke’s to everyone 😊”

“Our cross country team had intended to go to a Subway in Effingham, we called ahead to let them know we are coming, but our bus driver missed the exit. We went to the nearest Subway and we stopped here. They rocked it out for us on no notice! Highly recommend!”

“We just happened to be traveling by to Effingham from Bridgeport IL and decided to stop and eat. They had all you can eat fish buffet and it was very good. My husband loved their fried potatoes. Waitress was very pleasant and great service. Nice Bar and Grill.”

“It’s basically a self serve case inside a gas station, which i expected a restaurant attachment or even just an ordering bar but it was just a case, it tasted like normal pizza hut. it was about half full when i was there so limited options. Wish there was better signage so i knew it wasn’t a store and just a case.”

“Very good Mexican food for being in Illinois. If you can't stand tough onions, make sure to tell them to leave the onions off. That's completely not a knock on them, I didn't put my dentures in before I went in and the onions were a little tough. That's absolutely my fault.”

“Went to the McDonald's in Altamonte this morning, and I had to share the experience. I attempted to order the steak big breakfast on the app- it's there... but when I tried to check out on the app, it wouldn't work saying that meal was unavailable. I asked at the drive thru, and they tried to get it to work, but they said their computer wouldn't allow them to do the meal as the app advertised. No worries, I ordered something else... but when I got to the window, they made it work - I don't know how, but they did! #greatservice! We'll be back!”
