Bella Roma Italian Restaurant

My husband and I made the short and very worthwhile drive out to try this spot which we had seen on 217 foodies. It truly is a family restaurant The staff is attentive, kind in the food was wonderful. It can be very hard to find good Italian food locally but they really hit the nail in the head here. From the garlic knots to the lasagna to the tiramisu everything was lovely and we can’t wait to go back again.

A small town shop that was very delightful and delicious and the people where very kind, attentivebut not smothering, and we had to get some of the garlic bread rolls to bring home with us. With appetizers and a pizza and chicken alfredo fettuccine and a half dozen dinner garlic rolls and a $20 tip it was about $51 dollars all together, and the food and service were and will be again in the future WELL WORTH every red cent. All in my humblest opinion, we most definitely will be returning. A big thank you to everyone there who served our need with 20 minutes to closing time. Im sure the kitchen staff wasn't exactly pleased with us popping in that late as it probably left more work and later time to leave. But we do appreciate everything they did as well as the front of house employees.

Authentic Italian food is the truth. I Ordered the Sampler and a side salad. Both were fantastic. The garlic knots are delicious. Service was fast and efficient. This is a hidden gem that everyone should check out. Highly recommend.

I’ve came here a handful of times, and service has always been top notch and food delicious! Today was the test, they accidentally forgot my order, no biggie for me as I’m not mad when mistakes happen as I work at a restaurant! Manager stepped in and fixed and offered accommodations to the issue. Please check them out if you haven’t already!

My Husband and I find this an enjoyable authentic Italian place worth a drive for great food

We tried the Valentine’s Day special. It was super busy, and we did not make reservations. The wait was a bit long than I usually like, but the food was well worth it. The ravioli was the best part of the sampler, and the garlic knots were a great compliment to the whole meal. I love that when the staff got overwhelmed, they never let it ruin the night for anyone even themselves. Can't wait to go back.

This place is an absolute surprise for Italian food. I have to admit the availability of decent and authentic Italian food in central Illinois is lacking as I am from the Rockford area decades ago which had offerings that could shame Chicago. The fried ravioli and the dipping sauce was such a wonderful shock. Everything is home made and to perfection. Being my first visit I had to hit the Lasagna. Bam. What can I say. Not overwhelming with ricotta cheese but plenty of other cheese. The homemade yeast dinner rolls were to die for. There is liquor offerings but I do believe you can bring your own. A big definite on getting back there.

Ended up here on a whim, and glad we did. The food was hot and fresh to order and was very good. The service was great and attentive, and the atmosphere was quaint and home like.
