But the other day, I tried to come through for my usual only to find the place was closed. A sign was posted on the drive-thru intercom that read: "Sorry, closed due to high temperatures within the building".

At first, I was a bit disappointed. I was really looking forward to a little treat before I went into work. But after a bit, I was actually glad to see that.

It's felt frighteningly common for businesses to put profit over employee wellbeing these days.
