The pork tacos were very good and burger was great. Our server was very attentive and did a great job.A little pricey but I think you get what you pay for. Will definitely be back.

We went out to Heron Cove for our 41st Anniversary. Our daughter recommended the restaurant. I have eaten in restaurants around Europe and the US while serving in the military. This restaurant hands down beats some of the best places in Europe and the US. I highly recommend if your around Effingham Illinois that you stop in for a very fine meal and great service as well.

Excellent crawfish and shrimp Po boy. The slaw and sauce on it are good details and they put plenty of both shrimp and crawfish into the sandwich. Not a huge selection on the menu but what I had was good.

Unique little restaurant with a great outdoor patio space if you're distancing. Our waiter saw the masks and made notable efforts to get only as close as needed, when needed. The pulled pork Rangoons were really interesting, and the other menu items were unique and pretty good. The Blue Heron drink is so so, but if they're gonna name it after the restaurant, worth doing in my opinion. Five stars primarily for great, thoughtful service and unique, creative menu items.

What a wonderful surprise! This place is hands down the best place to eat in Effingham. The food is so good. It’s fresh and top quality. We had smoked wings, and spring rolls to start. My entree was one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten. The kitchen, five out of five, they definitely have it going on. The wait staff were fun and on point. Cannot wait to go back.

Heron Cove never disappoints! The food is always amazing and I've tried nearly everything on the menu at this point (no shrimp for me). We love the staff as well as they are all very friendly and accommodating! The chef will even make you an extra hot sauce upon request that will kick you in the face.
