Since establishment has changed owners the food isn’t as good. Cole slaw is not the same. We only go for breakfast now.

This was a nice place for dining. My only concern was we had heard that there was a salad bar which would have fit in with our diets much better. We didn't realize that once you enter the restaurant you have to choose between two different dining areas. One has the salad bar and a slightly different menu and then the regular diner does not have a salad bar and has a slightly different menu. For some reason we didn't understand that when we went in. We ended up in just the diner area. The food was fine. The service was excellent. We had the country fried steak and the mushroom steak. Side salad was particularly good. Cheese curds were good. It's a nice place and easy to get to if you're traveling through the area. I wouldn't hesitate stopping here again.

Should def have signs up showing 3 different eating areas, we are at the diner I'm guessing. We went for the salad bar and didn't realize it's in a different restaurant.. we had Izzy I believe as a server, she spent most her time trying to hit other servers with a towel and talking to a gentleman at the bar area. Food was ok, unfortunately we wouldn't recommend this or come back.

I'm going cross country in a car with my dad and decided to stop here to eat we sat down the place they gave us bread with a knife stabbed into it that was cool but the bread was really sweet and dry looked nice salad bar was so midish bad lettuce bad the cucumbers were frozen then our food came I got a burger with a side of fries my dad got catfish with a side of macaroni and cheese burger really mid and the fries were really cooked on the outside and barely cooked on the inside the catfish also mid macaroni tasted like frozen macaroni you would get at a store the only good thing was the price overall kinda disappointing

Wow! We lucked up on this stop when passing through Effingham. I had fried chicken, the hubby had a fillet. Our meals were excellent! Juicy crispy delightful chicken. The steak cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. Salad bar. Nice cocktails! Shout out to Fran for great service! We will be sure to make this a regular stop!

Not a steakhouse, more of a dinner. Incredibly bland food, poor cut of steak. most orher customers are 65+, don't come here looking for flavor. potatos were powdered, vegtables not even salted.

Waitress was very helpful and kind. She kept up with our drinks. Our food was very good and the price was reasonable with the big portion that you get. You will need to save room for desert because the pies are AMAZING! Old fashioned crust for the pies and you can get it Ala mode. Best peanut butter pie I've had in a decade!

Good salad bar: it's so rare to find a good salad bar in a restaurant that I was very happy. Prime was cooked perfect and came out before I had even finished my salad. Dinner rolls were huge, and the butter the perfect temp to dab onto them. But the Greatest was the peanut butter pie. I let my server pick my pie and she knocked it out of the park. Fabulous! Highly recommend even if just driving down the interstate. We both had the fries chicken, baked potato and salad bar. The vegetable soup was spot on. They also serve the best sweet tea.

The restaurant side is much better. Coffee shop was okay not great. A server seems to be in angry mood about something. We always stop on our way out.West at this restaurant, it's one of our favorites, but only in the dining room side from now on. Chicken is amazing their specialty
