My family and I stopped into The Corner Grind in Elburn today and everything was fantastic! Between the four of us, we ordered coffees, a smoothie, a homemade energy drink, a muffin, and two sandwiches and every single thing was delicious. The coffee was smooth and flavorful, the smoothie and energy drink were super refreshing, and the food was fresh and made with care. I was one of their first customers. Literally going nearly everyday since. Its a sad day- the quality has gone down as well as the service.
I used to get sandwiches here at least once a week. They doubled their prices (which I understand) but also cut the meat in half.
Everyday for a latte - but they cut the quality of the flavoring or use half of what they used to.
I try to support local businesses but I can't recommend this anymore.
I love the vibe as the owners and servers are friendly, chill and enthusiastic all at once. They clearly love what they're doing with their food and drinks. I'm an iced chai latte guy (I don't like coffee of any kind) and I just had a delicious breakfast sandwich. This place is busy for a reason. It's awesome. Plus I have history with the building as I used to deliver newspapers out of Smith's Bar-B-Cue decades ago. A real gem in Elburn is the Corner Grind.
