Went to beef shack around 7:45pm since I received a local flyer and noticed that on Tuesdays it’s $1 hot dogs. I ended up ordering some cheese sauce to go with my fries even though it was a tad expensive for me to add on. After being rung out I noticed that the cheese sauce was $0.25 more than all the menus inside stated. I approached the cashier who rung me out to ask about the price of the cheese sauce being more than what’s listed. She rudely replied that that’s the price and when I pointed at the menu board showing less and turned back she had walked away even though I was talking to her. Even said thanks to another employee after getting my food and they just looked at me weird. Don’t plan on going back.

Cheesy beef garlicy bread was really good. Excellent flavor. Good texture in the meat, cheese did not overpower the meat flavor and I can taste the garlic bread. The only minor complaint that I'd say is the juice that I ordered in the two cups, one of them was smashed, crushed and dribbled all over the inside of the plastic bag. The only other thing is the sandwich seemed a little bit on the small side, much smaller than a portillo's.

Went to Beef Shack for the first time today and everything was delicious! The cheesy beef on garlic bread was done just right. The beef was tender and juicy. The fries were great! Be sure to get the shack sauce to dip them in.

So I have been a loyal customer to Beef Shack in Elgin on route 20 since they opened today I picked up my order then drove home to have lunch with my wife unfortunately they forgot to give me the fries so I called the person on the phone said they would make me a complete new order if I came back to pick it up so that’s what I went to do I left my burger and a chicken sandwich laying on the table getting cold drove back to Beef Shack only to find out their policy is to only give what was missing so I asked for a refund and that’s what they did I don’t think it’s asking to much to replace my order of 2 sandwiches and fries after all I was told over the phone they would even the manager admitted he would not want to eat a cold chicken sandwich or a cold burger that I paid almost $26.00 forI highly recommend Portilos right down the street their food service and policies are way better I expected more from a place I have eaten at on average of once a week for the past 5 or more yearsThis is my first time ever reviewing anything but I felt it needed to be said
Order thru DoorDash. Order was missing item. Beef shack would not replace item. Told me to get refunded thru DoorDash. Absolutely the worse customer service from Beef shack

I've posted before about the fries. Once again I received fries cooked well done on the outside and cool in the middle, barely cooked. Block of frozen fries dumped in and not shaken to break them up so they cook evenly. . Then lots of end pieces and little bits. 3x now.
