The beef is great, if a lil pricy anymore, but what isn't? This place is an Elgin icon, same location for years and years. Put it in your mouth and expierience joy of beef.

Very disappointed in the flavor of the beef. Very bland. I've always enjoyed the quality of the food but its been a few years since I've had the opportunity to be in the area. Won't be going back again.

If you went by memories I would have given B.V. 10 stars. Back in the day--some 48 years ago--I went to high school across the street at Larkin Highschool. The high school was overcrowded so to help with the situation we had an open campus. This allowed the students to leave the grounds.
One of the hottest spots for us was Beef Villa. At the time french fries were as popular as the beef--short for Italian beef. The hot and sweet peppers were free and looked like peppers. Today the peppers cost extra but I believe they are still worth the price.
The fries would be equivalent to two or three large McDonald's fries. They would last as long as the beef's. The best part--there was only one size.
In the present day the fries come in a paper cup. If you want more you need to buy a medium or large size.
Those old enough to remember back then drinks never had free refills. You needed to make sure you had enough money to buy a second drink otherwise you'd have to settle for water. This is something I had to do more times than I'd prefer to mention. Today drink's have free refills.
When it comes to atmosphere it could use a redo. It looks old.

27 bucks, no cheese on my cheese fries, no ranch with my mushrooms, mozzarella on my burger, which I was never asked about. Place has gone downhill over the years. That'll be my last time there.
This place is a rip off. I got a gyro for 8.00 with2 pieces of gyro in it. Ordered a large fry and they only filled the fry cup half way. Go to Weinerville across the street to get double the food at half the cost. We went here on a Monday bc Weinervillr was closed.. I WILL NEVER BE BACK.

Stopped by on a Tuesday evening for some dinner to take home, I've heard good things about this place. I got a gyro, mushrooms and cheese fries. The gyro was delicious! Very good seasoning and not too salty, the sauce was on point as well. The mushrooms were delicious as expected and the cheese fries were good as well. Will definitely stop by again and try out more things on the menu, but definitely coming back for the gyro.

I grew up in Elgin and went to Beef Villa often after High School. Every time I come back to visit family, I go back for the nostalgia of it and the food is still great! Finally back and went tonight (30 minutes before it was closing) and ordered food for 5 of us. Our food was so fresh, hot, and made exactly as we ordered it! Thank you Beef Villa for always being there to bring happy past memories and creating new ones with my kids!

Ordered a 3 piece broasted dinner and the dinner was terrible, the chicken was like it was sitting out all day and was dried out. was given a thigh wing and drumstick, was also given fries instead of potatoes wedges due to availability, and they were undercooked and cold. Will not be going
