Had a fish sandwich here today. Opened up the sandwich and took off the silver thin tomato and wilted lettuce. Last time I had a hot dog which could never be compared to Portillos or Nana's. I make them better at home. Disappointing, cross these two menu items off the list. I think their other location has better food, more choices.

This is the authentic Chicago Hot Dog and Italian Beef experience. The service is quick, the food is delicious and the prices affordable. Our little kids (7 & 4) love this as a special meal out; they include a couple dum dum suckers in their kids meals that our kids are always stoked for. This is a favorite spot for our family.

40 years ago was the last time I had hotdogs here...Chicago style dog, soft (steamed?) bun, black poppy seeds. Took Jean on a trip to visit mom. We each got a dog, and I also got an Italian beef sandwich. First time for the beef sandwich. Hot dogs? FANTASTIC! Jean said WOW! Beef - omg... LOADS of tender flavorful beef on the perfect bun - dipped in a luscious broth. Incredible. And no, we normally do not eat like this... but hey... it's a vacation trip. This is nothing more than a small shop, just a few seats...but man the food!

Stopped in to try, gotta say I was really surprised it was really good, the only thing that was weird was no hot giardinara only mild, but the sausage in the combo was spicy so that kinda made up for it and I loaded it up with mild. If they dialed in some hot mix it would be on point.

Italian beef was A+ and Chicago vienna legit. Peppers were not from a jar. Service was friendly and quick. Atmosphere was small family run appealing. Which makes Chicago so unique when visiting.
Awesome place, best fries! However, the gyros I just got tasted like 2 day old microwaved leather. For shame!
19sept24...undercooked fries, a squished weener with a hard bun? How is that possible? You didn't feel it as you hastily shoved it into a wrapper?

The One & Only
After 20 long years of going there, I had stopped going over there for the last couple of monce. I drove a 1/2 an hour out to you guys to get a beef sandwich and to know that I drove a 1/2 an hour to get cheese on my beef which is fine but I didn't ask for cheese on my beef. I asked for juicy with sweet peppers. I had left multiple messages on a voicemail to call me back of my concern. Because I drove a 1/2 an hour and to open up my sandwich on the way home and to find out that it wasn't the way I wanted And the worst of it was that your guy's phone keeps ringing Nobody picks up the phone call at all. Obviously if the phone keeps ringing and ringing, I'm pretty sure there's probably a problem. But you guys are the worst to respond to a voicemail, worst Beef Villa Experience EVERRRR!!!. I also left like 3 or 4 voicemails and still to this day. It's been about a good. I would save a little over 30 days now. And I still have not received a phone call in regards to saying. Apologies on the service or the experience just from that, I've stopped going even though it kills me they have these new kids working that dont know about customer service. I just have to find a new beeF SPOT Sad Sad.. ? update Couple days later They give me a Thumbs up after messaging them on Facebook on how dissapointed I was. Can we hire management that cares!!! Customer Service Sucks!!!
