Had a fish sandwich here today. Opened up the sandwich and took off the silver thin tomato and wilted lettuce. Last time I had a hot dog which could never be compared to Portillos or Nana's. I make them better at home. Disappointing, cross these two menu items off the list. I think their other location has better food, more choices.

This is the authentic Chicago Hot Dog and Italian Beef experience. The service is quick, the food is delicious and the prices affordable. Our little kids (7 & 4) love this as a special meal out; they include a couple dum dum suckers in their kids meals that our kids are always stoked for. This is a favorite spot for our family.

40 years ago was the last time I had hotdogs here...Chicago style dog, soft (steamed?) bun, black poppy seeds. Took Jean on a trip to visit mom. We each got a dog, and I also got an Italian beef sandwich. First time for the beef sandwich. Hot dogs? FANTASTIC! Jean said WOW! Beef - omg... LOADS of tender flavorful beef on the perfect bun - dipped in a luscious broth. Incredible. And no, we normally do not eat like this... but hey... it's a vacation trip. This is nothing more than a small shop, just a few seats...but man the food!

Stopped in to try, gotta say I was really surprised it was really good, the only thing that was weird was no hot giardinara only mild, but the sausage in the combo was spicy so that kinda made up for it and I loaded it up with mild. If they dialed in some hot mix it would be on point.

Came here as a kid in the 80s and 90s and it did not disappoint! Food was amazing and so was the service!
Italian beef was A+ and Chicago vienna legit. Peppers were not from a jar. Service was friendly and quick. Atmosphere was small family run appealing. Which makes Chicago so unique when visiting.

Awesome place, best fries! However, the gyros I just got tasted like 2 day old microwaved leather. For shame!
19sept24...undercooked fries, a squished weener with a hard bun? How is that possible? You didn't feel it as you hastily shoved it into a wrapper?

Always been a go-to for us but just finished a beef from here with the most fat/gristle I've ever had on an Italian beef. I hope this was just an anomaly and they haven't changed suppliers.
