We visited Bennigan’s, the last one in the area, in Elgin, on Saturday, December 13, 2025. The food is always delicious there but it’s never busy and sometimes the wait time to get the food is ridiculously long. It had been six months since our last visit and the remodel looked really nice. They remodeled the hotel exterior in 2024 and the restaurant remodel this year looked cool too. We like visiting but it’s something that we have gradually decreased over the years. Definitely still recommend it. (Written 12-21-25)

We had breakfast here twice because it was so good! I had ham ( to die for) eggs, hashbrowns & toast. You won’t walk away hungry from here and did I mention the ham … omg, delish!!

I hadnt been to a Bennigans since the early 90s ..I didnt even know they still had any in Illinois ..with that said I rode out to Elgin to chk it out ..I had the legendary Monte Cristo with the berry jam ..Loaded mash potatoes.. bread pudding & ice cream.. Ice tea ..everything was just as it usta be tastee fresh and good .. my one hold back was that my goto desert at Bennigans for 40 yrs was the Apple Cobbler with ice cream that they said they dont have on the menu anymore but they did have the cod fish fry which I also usta get .. it was a fun & tastee flashback ... OQ
They got the best potato cheese soup in the world
