Awesome food, another sweet gem of Elgin cuisine!
Had the Quesabirria Tacos and they're now my favorite! Husband had the Mojara al Ajo and it was delicious and very fresh. The service was great and the music was great! Definitely coming back👌

The beans and rice are also well-portioned and well-prepared. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming, thanks to the attentive service. The staff are nice and accommodating. The prices are reasonable. This is definitely a great option for a weeknight dinner after commuting.
The Molcajete, mojarra chiltepin ( fish fried ), chiles rellenos, enchiladas Michoacánas, pozole and quesa-birria are a must try, you will not be disappointed. Canelitas is a small restaurant that has always been accommodating. The food quality is extraordinary. Most the dishes are delicious. The pozole is beyond delicious. The best one. Out of any other place.
