The staff are nice and accommodating and the food is great. The prices are reasonable. This is definitely a great option for a weeknight dinner after commuting. Just remember: they make the orders once you order, so allow a few extra minutes to prepare the food. It's worth it.

I go to this restaurant twice a week, sometimes 3 times, the Molcajete, mojarra chiltepin ( fish fried ), chiles rellenos, enchiladas michoacanas, pozole and quesa-birria are a must try, you will not be disappointed.

We visited this establishment on Sunday 9/22/24 for brunch (party of 8). We have come here before and I decided to write a review this time around. Service has definitely improved since my last visit, the waitress was kind and prompt, we got our food within minutes. If you’re looking for your typical homemade, authentic Mexican food, this is as good as it gets. I haven’t found other restaurants in the area that come close to that homemade taste of our traditional foods, that’s why we’ve been coming back to Canelitas! Their aguas frescas are made from scratch, they were very tasty! We typically come here for their gorditas but have been trying other items and everything has been delicious!

Yesterday I went to Canelitas for dinner at 6pm and under the tables there were mice eating what fell inside the restaurant. Hopefully the owner takes action on the matter before someone gets sick.
Had the Quesabirria Tacos and they're now my favorite! Husband had the Mojara al Ajo and it was delicious and very fresh. The service was great and the music was great! Definitely coming back👌
