Called my order in at 5:57pm was told 20min made it there at 6:24 and didn’t get my food until 6:56pm. Why take call in orders if we have to wait to get there before your cook their food makes no sense and spend over $50

Just left here got a small tip and damn I just should’ve made that trip to Chicago because it was disgusting ! Do better ribs were nothing but fat and it was no smoke flavor, it was meaty however no flavor like they just boiled them in the crockpot and threw em on the grill !!

ordered the wing and tip turkey combo 🤨 it was extremely salty and as dry as the Sahara desert. The fries were burnt the tips were mostly bones. Needless to say I won’t be returning

If you want down home kick a** ribs, this is the place to go!! Also. I never had turkey tips, gave them a try, and man oh man, Excellent!!!! All Coleman's BBQ dishes are delicious!!!!
Coleman's open too late and never answers the telephone. It's Not the best BBQ but, it will do because there is no other cultural BBQ in the area unless you drive too far to Chicago. No charcoal seasonings on the meat and absolutely no flavor seasoning on their fried fish or breading. The catfish and whiting were horrible. I threw it away. The only thing I order from Colemans are the rib tips, you may be safe with the tips - if you like tasteless BBQ sauce and gas, not wood grilling. The days of old-school BBQ grilling with smoked charcoal are gone, at least in Elgin. Don’t expect too much from this place.

My boyfriend ordered food from here through Uber eats and once we got home, he took a bite out of his burger and found plastic in it. He thought it was some onion but it definitely wasn’t. I tried calling to complain about it, but no one picked up.

Missed out on Robinsons ribs in Chicago coming back on the train. From Dekalb so don't get out to Elgin much. Needed my BBQ fix. Found this place near the train. Chicken wings crispy and not greasy, moist and tender. Very good. I added their in house BBQ sauce. AWSOME sauce! Best I've had in long while. Ribs were a bit dried out. The outer bark was a bit chewey. The inside meat was decent though. The taste of the meat was spot even before sauce. Just a little leathery on the outside. To be fare it was like 7 pm on a Saturday so they may have dried out a bit being cooked much earlier in the day. I'm more then willing to return but maybe earlier in the day. It's hard to know how many ribs to make and they take a long time to cook. So definitely worth going back. Pretty decent fries . Ide like them a little crisper though. They taste freshly cut. Not frozen. My only real complaint is probably packaging. My fries being on the bottom soaked up all the BBQ sauce. While they still tasted great , I don't like soggy fries. I had to basically squeeze out the fries onto the ribs to get them wet again. So next time I'll order fries on the side and get a container of sauce on the side . It's an hour back to Dekalb. I might go 5 stars if the ribs were less dry. I'm spoiled though after BBQ Smoque off of Pulaski in Chicago. But all said and done I definitely enjoyed them.

For the price, the food is beyond phenomenal. Seems like a tiny joint, blink and you miss it type. But please don't miss. From the tips, to the hotlinks to the wingssss. Service was nice and dandy. Atmosphere definitely fit the aesthetic. Love it and will be going back as soon as my funds allow it lmao. Just wish I could buy a bottle of that fantastic BBQ on its own ??
