My Fiancee is from Guanajuato City. He found Emilys to be the BEST Comfort food around, thats outside Little Village!
Even my Irish Mother from Tucson, AZ demands Emilys when she is town.

5 Stars! Never Go Out Of Business Junior!
They completely messed up our carry out order! Got home and realized they gave us the wrong food (the receipt on the bag was our order but they put the wrong food in the bag) I drove back and asked if they could "provide a refund for the inconvenience of their mistake". I was told they would remake my order correctly or I could receive a refund and not get any food. Unfortunately I waited for them to remake my order which was a huge mistake! Emily's Mexican Grill is a hidden gem with a spacious and clean atmosphere. Known for their delicious tacos de carne asada, the meat is juicy and tender, tasting like real carne asada. The birria tacos with dipping sauce are also highly recommended. While some dishes can be spicy, the chicken loaded burrito is a milder option. The portions are huge, perfect for leftovers. The restaurant offers vegetarian options like veggie burritos and salads. With a full bar and friendly servers who speak both Spanish and English, Emily's is a great place to eat, especially for families with kids as they offer kids meals and high chairs. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible with large doors, low tables, and booths, making it easy to navigate. Customers appreciate that everything is homemade and super fresh, making it their favorite comfort food outside Little Village. Many visitors, including those from different states, demand Emily's when in town, highlighting its popularity. However, some reviews mention that the beans and rice can be bland and basic, and the birria and consume may lack authenticity. Despite these criticisms, the al pastor loaded burrito is a favorite for some. The restaurant prefers calling ahead for pickup instead of delivery due to issues with delays. Customers love the friendly service and the cozy atmosphere, making it a family-friendly spot.
