The manager was yelling at a staff member right where we can hear everything. Really professional. The staff member was correct when he said you were being unprofessional. If you want to yell at someone take them in private where the world can't hear. That was very awkward. Oh and sending him home while your short staffed is a bad idea since you weren't serving anyone or at the front desk either. I will stick with my other breakfast places for now on.

The waitress asked if we wanted coffee and ready to order the second we sat down. We said no thanks and she walked away. She never came back. Another poor waitress got mine and my brothers food order. Don’t know how the food was because we walked out. Got there at 9:55am, walked out at 11am. Never got our food. They were more worried about the to go orders, food was sitting under a heat lamp for over 25min. Saw the waitress wipe her nose with her hand with no gloves and continued packing up orders. There was another family that was there before us and didn’t even get their food until we decided to walk out! Randall pancake house for the win!!

After having a bad experience for breakfast the manager called me and apologized for the service she was very polite and understanding of the situation she invited me and my family to come back to make it up to me I highly appreciate that can wait to come back just because of her. Hope is a better experience i feel better since that conversation I had with her

Feb 06,25. I ate here this morning. Absolutely the worst food I have ever had at any IHOP. Hash browns like bubble gum, eggs almost as chewy. IHOP please close this location down.

Came in for Sunday breakfast today. Luz was our server. She seated us and every time she came to us she had a smile on her face. She was very attentive, took her time, and paid attention to everything we said. She was great. So was the food! Typical breakfast, eggs bacon, sausage, hash browns, French toast for me. My husband had the same but with pancakes. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Food came out in like 10 minutes, it seems. We're very happy with our visit and will be coming back again very soon! Thank you Elgin IHOP.

Overly expensive. Two breakfasts and one coffee for 33 dollars. You could make your own breakfast for a week. Service was a little slow. Not a lot of positives, next time I'll find a non chain diner.

The service was very slow and our waitress took really long to acknowledge us once we sat down. We ordered an appetizer and it came out at the same time as our food. Personally I don’t understand the hype about IHOP, the food was ok. I’m not sure if they are understaffed but communication could have helped the situation. Definitely won’t be returning again.
