Best sushi in town and arguably in the burbs. Great drinks. Chill and you get to watch your food being made in front of you.

I order through Uber Eats quite often. My son is autistic, and their Yaki Udon is his most favorite thing in the world and a safe meal for him when he’s having a hard time trying to eat anything else. Every single time I’ve ordered food from here, they’ve included a free item (free bottle of soda, recently it was a box of the strawberry filled biscuit crackers). I absolutely love this place. The quality of their sushi (I often get the scallop and salmon belly nigiri), portions, everything is always phenomenal. I even get great service despite the fact I’m not actually sitting down to eat in the restaurant. I hope I can come in and sit down here in person eventually, but I highly recommend it just based on the food alone.

EDIT: I wanted sushi so bad on Sunday but since Kubo was closed, I had ordered from a different sushi place. It ended up being SO awful that I just HAD to order from Kubo the next day to get my sushi craving satisfied. I haven’t ordered in a while but wow, this place never disappoints and is a o amazing. They wrote on the bag ”Thank you Molly and Family” included free drinks and a mochi ice cream! Its not just a small gesture but above and beyond. I had such an awful day and was so touched at the amount of care this place puts in. They deserve so much good business and the staff is just amazing. The food is just top notch, especially compared to other sushi places that I tried in the area. I hope the add fresh uni to the menu one day.

Kid-friendliness: They always cater to my son who has level 3 autism!

Loved everything about this restaurant! Leo was our server. He was so helpful and quick despite how busy they were! Can't wait to come back. Get the white lotus cocktail! It was delicious. 😊

Food is always amazing, but when wife was there for dinner on the 21st of Feb with her friend our daughter showed up from out of town to surprise her and the hostess was rude when asked what she needed. When my wife slid over to make room for my daughter the server told her she couldn't sit there. They asked for a larger table and was told there were none available ( there were open tables) My daughter left without joining them. Disappointing birthday dinner for my wife

Cute sushi place. I liked the Valentine's decor. It felt more cozy. I didn't order anything unique (salmon sashimi and Boston maki) but I would come back to try something different. I think the only thing I didn't like was the music. It sounded like royalty free jazz music and definitely didn't set the greatest vibe. Also cuz it was so loud at a point I couldn't hear our conversation. The server was nice. We were in and out within 45 minutes, which was great because we were catching a movie after. I would come back to try other items on the menu and something off their drink menu.

The Best and most fresh sushi in the suburbs. Also, we have a list of allergies to accommodate. I’ve never experienced a more accommodating a restaurant our allergies.

We celebrated our anniversary at Kubo recently and had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The host was incredibly welcoming and promptly seated us. Our server was attentive, approachable, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They were able to answer all our questions and offered insightful recommendations.

The quality of the food was exceptional. The sushi was incredibly fresh, with well balanced flavors and high-quality ingredients. The Samauri Maki roll was a true standout – a must-try…..We also loved the Poki Salad appetizer – it was 🔥

The overall ambiance of the restaurant was very comfortable and inviting, making it a perfect setting for any occasion, whether it's a special celebration like ours or a casual dinner with friends. Music was on point.

We highly recommend kubo to anyone seeking a dining experience that combines exceptional food, impeccable service, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

We’ve been going to Kubo since they opened. Always a great experience and great sushi until last night. Why was last night different? Umm, no sushi. Apparently Chef Chris ran out of fish.?. Nothing. Zero. Not even a slab of monk fish liver or a measly slice of hamachi. Iiee. We were not late. 7:30 reservation, Saturday night, still no fish. It was weird. We felt slighted. Every table around us got their rolls and we got ramen. Again, weird. Obviously they don’t value our business and I’m sure they’ll be fine without, but I don’t care. We will never be going back. Sayonara Kubo. It was fun while it lasted.

Ordered three maki rolls and could not finish them because it was not good. I love sushi and had high hopes for this place because of the great reviews but alas my experience was not great. The sushi did not seem fresh. The Krispy Krunch roll was not crispy or crunchy. It seemed more fillers- like the avocado and cucumber than the actual fish or crab that was supposed to be in the roll. The pickled ginger was all mushy. Maybe it was just a bad day but I will not be ordering again from here.

Kubo is great for a bunch of reason. The sushi? Second to none. The kitchen food? To die for. The drinks are unique and delicious, and the chefs and atmosphere are more than inviting. Wonderful experience all around.

Vegetarian options: There are a few vegetarian options on the menu, and several other things that can be made vegetarian or even vegan without sacrificing any flavor.
