I decided to try a new restaurant while out and about. I went to Los Camales in Elgin. I was warmly greeted by Rosa who took my order. She helped me decide since I am a recent vegetarian. This was very difficult because I saw all the meat orders getting delivered. I ordered the torta which still was delicious. The horchata was very good and not overly sweet like some others. I was checked out by Tanela who allowed me to practice Spanish. My experience there was fantastic and encourage people to get it a try!

Service was friendly and the dining area was neat and clean. I ordered 3 chicken tacos with avocado and sour cream along with rice and beans. The corn tortillas, avocado, sour cream and cheese were delicious however the chicken was dried out. The refried beans were very good but the rice was also slightly dried out too. I will stop back another time and hope to find a better experience next time.

Came in on a mid Sunday afternoon, I then walked up to the cashier which she was very attentive. I then proceeded to order carnitas and a couple sides!!Took that to go and finished it pretty quickly! On top of that, the Horchata wasn’t too sweet.

The food is really good. The only reason I can't give them five starts is because they won't refill sodas. Come on, guys. What year is this? Every sit-down restaurant in the country will refill your sodas. But not this place. Sorry, that's a deal breaker. Could have been great ....

Got togo tacos for Taco Tuesday 1.39 deal and all of them tasted very good. Ordered a large soda with it. It was a huge soda, love it. Bang for your buck with how expensive quick food is becoming!
