Lou Malnati's is one of my favorite places to get good Chicago deep dish pizza. I have it rather often and every time the pizza comes out great! I have not tried out their thin crust pizza or any other dish that they have, but I am sure it is good as well.

Ordered the Two Pizza Meal Deal for our family of 5, including two young men with good appetites. A nice amount of food (especially given deep dish pizzas) + a very reasonable price.
Pizzas were ready right on time. Still hot enough that they were steaming when I got them home! Salad was a big portion and very fresh.

Food is ok. No idea why they are famous tho. Way too expensive as well, even for this high inflation period. We got a crustless pizza and 2 toppings (btw, toppings are $3.65 ea even if only on half) and that was like $50. If we were able to add the other small thincrust pizza (see below) with 1 topping, that would be another $20
Their online ordering aystem is the absolute worst that we have ever used. We put a gift card as payment and it accepted. After 3rd order (we had to use the remaining gift card), the gift card did not cover the balance, so it asked for a credit card. It wouldnt take it. We removed a pizza from the order and removed a topping so the gift card would cover the balance. When we tried to make a new order for the pizza we removed, the gift card still had a balance and again the system would not accept a credit card.
The one thing I am happy with is that the gift card balance is at a point that we will pitch it, so we dont have to subject ouraelves to this place again. And yes, we informed the person that bought it for us to not get another!

Having to navigate through the hoops to actually make this post……… I’ve been a diehard customer since the day y’all opened. I’ve had great pizzas and not so good pizzas. Most have been great. Today I literally couldn’t separate the cardboard from the pizza. 4/16-24. Worst pizza I’ve ever had. I don’t usually take the time to actually enter the social media matrix, but this experience literally lost you a lifetime customer.

I had dietary restrictions in my recent order for delivery and spoke with Kevin the general manager… he was beyond accommodating and even called me back to change out a salad dressing I didn’t realize my guest could not eat. He’s exceptional and Lou’s Elgin is lucky to have him.
