We were first timers here, dining in on a Friday night. The place was packed, including a big table celebrating a birthday. Table service was instant, really good. From their full service bar we ordered a couple cocktails and put in our food order. Both arrived quickly. Tostada’s and a burrito were very good. The dining room was a bit loud but all in all we had a good meal.

Had dinner at Mariscos El Amigo II in Elgin and was pleasantly surprised! The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor – and the prices were very reasonable. I had the shrimp and the Mexican fish soup, and I can highly recommend both. Big, hearty portions that really hit the spot. The staff was kind and welcoming, and the whole place has that authentic Mexican charm that makes you feel right at home. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the area. A hidden gem for anyone who loves great seafood and real Mexican cuisine! 🌮🔥

Wifi is advertised on the door, but they discontinued it for the public. Fanta is on their menu, but they didn't have it. We asked for mild salsa, and they didn't have any except for really hot spicy.

The food is good, however it is not worth waiting more than 15 minutes for your order to be taken and another 30 for your food to be served. The three times I have gone this month the same thing has happened and there are not even that many people in the place, the waitresses have no organization, they give more priority to acquaintances. And when I paid, they gave me the wrong change. If it were 0 stars for me. We are not going back.
