The place was quiet with a weird set up, the concha’s were stale and dry and just not good, the bolillo was also stale and dry, overall disappointed

I had to get one star due to the fact I was never even able to enter into the store during open business hours. There was no one in the store all last week. I tried calling several times Voicemail was in Spanish. You’re in America speak English.

Updating my review to 1 star after that condescending response from the owner. Imagine telling someone who grew up buying pan dulce from your shop that they “weren’t a customer” just because you “don’t recognize their face.” Qué falta de respeto.
Let me remind you: I was there when the original baker—may he rest in peace—used to run this place with heart. Back then, my mom would bring exact change because she knew the baker sometimes couldn’t break a bill. That’s how loyal we were. I even left a 5-star review years ago when the bread still had soul.
But let’s be real—the quality hasn’t been the same since he passed. The bread went stale, and now the windows are filled with AI-generated food instead of real, fresh-baked pride. And instead of taking honest feedback from someone who actually supported this business for more than a decade, you decide to insult me?
No, gracias. I’ll be buying my conchas and bolillos somewhere that still honors the tradition—and respects its community.
Their schedule is unknown
I came 8:15 Sunday and is closed
According to this website should be open .
Most of this kind of business Are to get some bread for breakfast
Lazy people .
Was clean.
They used to have the best Conchas I've ever had. New ownership changed the recipe and seems to be focusing on the restaurant. The conchas now taste like wheat bread and they only had a sad fraction of their original selection of baked goods. Sad to see a good one go RIP. Hopefully the restaurant downstairs is better but I can't say - it might be a different outfit.
I bought bread and I loved it, excellent service and good atmosphere

I miss the old pastigel. WHERES THE OLD MAN THAT USED TO BE THERE 🥲
Went there one night. The staff did not address us. No greeting and not even a glance. Had to practically beg them to let us order. Then the food wasn't even good. Borderline gross. We threw most of it away.

I brought home a big haul of conchas and other types of sweet bread but they were all a bit stale.
I know conchas, and these were not it. Not sure if they were just a bad batch but other reviews seem to agree that the quality is a bit lacking.
There's also a separate restaurant on the bottom floor. Not sure if it's the same owner of the bakery though? Definitely an interesting set up. I can't quite put my finger to it but something about this place vibe was a bit off. I'm not sure if I'll be back again soon.
The absolute freshest, softest most delicious conchas I’ve ever had!

We got different cookies and they were all average. I was trying them for first time. Maybe they are an acquired taste.
