My go to in Elgin for fried catfish. Those gym shoes are delicious too. Definitely could feed two people off of it. They have a large selection to choose from. Everyone will leave full and satisfied.

Great food every time. Usually go for the catfish dinner which is phenomenal and I've never liked catfish. Tried something knew last time and it didn't disappoint. It was the grilled chicken rice bowl. It was huge and definitely delicious. Check them out if you haven't already

The gyro here was delicious. The place is run down. The gal who took our orders at the counter was cursing away in her conversation with a visiting friend.
PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING: I live so close to this place and i loved it. I was so happy that we muslims can come and enjoy this place that used to be 100% halal, BUT Its NOT ANYMORE man. They have Polish , that are not halal and are grilled on the same stove so there is cross contamination. Im pleading to the owner please just think of all muslim brothers and sisters, who could just enjoy this place with having to worry about it. FOOD IS FANTASTIC, and they got every, and everything is great. Nice amazing people never had any problem ever, respectful and caring . Please man, just remove the polish or cook it on a mini separate stove. ALL THE LOVE for you guys pls just make it 100% halal so we aint gotta worry about shit. Wasalam.
Edit: brother, just because the polish is beef does not mean that its halal. The juices from it is haram, and other hall food become haram one its cooked with the juices of haram food .Even the contact to haram food, makes halal food haram.

Was at this location back in the early 2000's , idk what happened but nothing appetizing to come back for. ....basic warmed or fried food ...no character or flavor that stands out ...was hoping it would hold its own like a Nana's but far from it. Italian sausage was butterflied n dried out for some reason, wanted red sauce on it , you get a Lil cup and super cold literally like you bought a left over reheated sausage ....Italian beef had no seasoning either , well here's pics try it if you wish hopefully it was a off day idk?

Idk who lying in these reviews 😭. But they need to change the batter on the fish nuggets. The batter too thick & hard. They need better fries. The lemonades are really good. The customer service definitely saved them. The lady at the cash register is attentive and nice. I spent abt $80 and it wasn’t worth it. And my fish sandwich was soagy., they should let the fish sit before they add the lettuce.
