Ok, this is a sports bar, definitely not what I would consider to be a SpeakEasy. However, I did enjoy this spot. The food was pretty tasty, and they have some good daily deals. The cocktails definitely left more to be desired, if they are trying to pass as a SpeakEasy that is. If they are going for the more upscale sports bar vibe - they have nailed it. Servers and bartenders left a little to be desired, but were kind and had good recommendations. The parking lot behind the restaurant was convenient.
My one complaint would be that I was sitting at the bar and a person next to me was on their phone blasting TikToks or music. Any bargoer knows that this is VERY annoying and I wish staff had told them to turn that shit down.
Parking: Probably about 30 spots, easy to miss if you are coming off of Walnut street.

Ordered thru door dash and my order arrived with no chicken on the cobb salad. Called them and Alex the manager apologized and asked if I lived close by I do and he offered to bring the chicken for my salad with a free soup for the inconvenience. I have to say that was pretty unexpected and very appreciated. Its not often you find someone who will go out of there way to make it right. Thank you

Waitress was attentive and professional.
Got the ribs and shrimp: Fall off the bone and just the right amount of kick. Shrimp was crunchy and light. The sides were just "okay"... salad was a bit wet, broccoli was the only vegetable choice.
Music was good, throw back 70s-90s.

The salmon picatta was extremely fishy tasting for salmon. Salmon is not supposed to be fishy tasting. Is it frozen? Is it genetically modified? We may never know.

Tried eating here for the first time. wasn’t impressed by anything but seems like it would be a good place to come with a group to have some drinks. Very loud! Not for everyone. Probably wouldn’t order anything else off the food menu.

Big menu with a great variety. Steak prices were great. I didn't get the steak tho....I got ribs/jumbo shrimp combo. All dinners come with soup or salad..thats old school!! Love it. Nice bar with good looking cocktails. Nice hidden gem in Elgin!

The Speakeasy is anything but. It’s so loud in there that you can’t hear the person next to you. That said the food is really, really good and the service is great. So skip the dine in experience and order pick up for some tasty bar food. Also fyi they box everything beautifully and include lots of dipping sauces. But do yourself and your ears a favor and don’t dine in.
