Village Pizza and Pub Elgin

Very slow service.

I have been to the establishment a couple times and thought maybe it was just a bad day there but they offer a buffet serve between 11:00 and 2:00 p.m. I went there today around 12:50 p.m. and it was absolutely disgusting the pizza that had been sitting under the heat lamp was completely dried out, it was worse than what you might expect at a bad gas station, the chicken was completely dried out my point is if you're going to have a buffet you should absolutely make sure you're serving hot fresh food which they did not do nor the last time I was there. So when I went today I was expecting anything but what was being served at the buffet like I said the pizza was horrible it was impossible to get service, it was a complete rip-off I absolutely wonder how many people also feel the same way about their offering for the price I cannot recommend this Village Pizza and Pub it was absolutely disgusting what they served! I literally had a couple bites and I was happy to pay my bill leave a tip but also in return leaving honest review of how horrible the offering was in their Buffet every item which were only a couple. They had fish which were basically frozen fish sticks, dried chicken that was not fresh. It was absolutely disgusting I'm sure of Gordon Ramsay went there they would have to be an intervention :-) don't go there it's a rip-off and it's hard to get anyone to even wait on you to bring you a drink.

Typically a good spot. Walked in was seated right away and instantly seemed like they were busy but I didn’t see many workers. Waited 5 minutes for waters. Sat for another 15 minutes and no one took our orders. Walked out and went somewhere else. If it takes 20 minutes to place an order it’ll clearly take even longer to get it.

Had the chicken/pizza buffet and rje chicken was AMAZING

We visited the Village Pizza and Pub Elgin on Friday, June 6, 2025! It was a great dinner with friends and family after a fun night celebrating. We probably overstayed our welcome and enjoyed delicious pizza and talking with new and old people. I was very impressed for the most part but it did seem difficult to get staff to help us. They weren’t unfriendly, they just seemed kind of shy and nervous around us actually. Overall it was a nice atmosphere at the Village on a Friday night. Definitely would be back. (Written 6-11-25)

Village is always a must for us. We love the atmosphere and the vibes everytime we come, Dan is the best

I absolutely love to come in here after work on a Friday night for a couple of cocktails and pizza. Dan is seriously THE BEST BARTENDER EVER!!!!

So Village Pizza is my favorite of all pizza. I recently placed an order for 2 large and 1 medium pizzas. They were for a pizza party for my special Ed class at AMS. The man who took our carry out order was extremely dismissive and acted as if our order didn’t matter. I asked about any coupons that might be available and he quickly dismissed that request. When I picked up and brought the pizza back to school I was told the sizes were wrong. I’m so disappointed in the way we’re were treated and will next time order from Donkey Inn or Rosatis.

Martha was so helpful and polite. Even with them being so busy she able to serve us very quickly. There is so much room, and accessibility.
Very very unique Pizza pub. Great environment, with great people.

The lunch buffet is lack luster, the fried chicken is the best part yet they are a pizza restaurant, great price point, the salad bar is very limited choices not sure if it was just that day or not, I will return and try again.
